"We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. The hotel, outdoor onsen, and woodsy surroundings were all excellent. Takayama in springtime is lovely, we were there for the Spring festival with cherry blossoms in full bloom, recommend. Plenty of day trips can do from there too. Even at festival time, restaurants and bars close pretty early, so go out early.
