Amazing
My cousin was getting married at the Akyra! We stayed there for 5 days. The all inclusive was well worth it! It included food, drinks and a massage each day! The massages were great, professional, relaxing. The food here is amazing, everything tasted so fresh. The staff was awesome and extremely kind. The beach had the perfect amount of breeze, was clean, and not overpopulated. Thank you Akyra! Our stay was amazing!

Active weekend
We went for a bicycling weekend in Phuket and then the location is perfect. Close to good roads with less traffic. Not so much nightlife.

Right by the beach. Great breakfast. Plenty of space along the paths. Good location. Bar at happy hour is completely disorganised. Check your bill carefully, as I failed to on one occasion and had to, literally, pay the price...

Pros: Staff was incredible, everyone was helpful and friendly. Food and drinks were good. Beach is stunning, soft sand along the entire beach and in the water. Cons: not much to do in the area outside of the resort. My door was broken, the broken tv had to be swapped out for one that worked, and the safe was beeping for hours before I could get someone to fix it.

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel. As with our other two stays this one was just as nice. The staff are always available to help, and in this requard, a big thanks to MAI from reception with all the assistance she gave us. For peaceful relaxation you would have to go some way to beat this place. Will likely be back again

This property is about 30-40 minutes north of Phuket so to call itself Beach Club Phuket is a little deceiving. This must be the off season. We had trouble understanding and being understood by the front desk staff. They only have one restaurant and one bar. The beach bar is actually on the beach and is more like a Tiki shack. We had a package that included a free spa treatment everyday so that was worth it. The masseuses were very proficient in massage and we had 2 wonderful couple’s massages. We went on a day tour and our guide, Oat, was good at explaining what we were seeing. Since we did not opt for the all inclusive, we were charged 500 bhat each everyday for breakfast. Way too much for the choices they offered us. The room was nice enough but no place to hang anything. The closet had a musty odor, probably from the used sandals that they put out for guests. I wish we had done some better research for this place. We had just come form the akyra in Chaing Mai to here. What a disappointment this one was.

Regarding your comment - hotel isolation: When guests do book a stay with us we entrust them to prior look up our hotel and location and have a better understanding where we are located. Our tranquil location is one of the many reasons why guests actually seek and wish to spend their relaxing holidays with us, away from it all. I do understand that for some guests this can be not the desired location but in this case I do hope it did not affect you all too much. We do provide a full fleet of in house transportation anywhere our valued guests wish to go. Even two times a week we have a free of charge shuttle bus to the centre of Phuket – either side.I was deeply sad to hear that you have not enjoyed the location fully. When you mentioned there are only a few restaurants around it I can only kindly respond that we have 3 very nice local restaurants (with very down to earth food and prices) just next to our 2 hotels. 1 next to the Aleenta and 2 actually immediate opposite the Akyra. Those can sometimes be nice escapes for our long stay guests. Our entire hotel team especially the team on reception is always happy to provide local area information and advises to our guests. I cannot comment if you have had any interaction wit them or asked our team about local restaurants as there are a few more in 15 min taxi ride and so on. I really enjoyed the boutique hotel feeling at Akyra. The set up pool and beach with Palm trees proving some shade is just beautiful. The staff is awesome and always smiling, and the restaurant is absolutely fabulous!

Banyan not so Nice - Phi Phi is a day trip at best
Banyan villa was uncomfortable- read the reviews on other sites, bed was extremely hard, definitely needs to be updated and not the most cleanly bathrooms. Also, I was in the 400 room numbers and from 6pm - late there was a constant smell of food which became a nuisance. Phi Phi island itself is not the most inspiring other than the hidden beaches and cliffs. It’s is definitely good for one day or overnight stay. No need to stay any longer than that. Kinda smelly and dirty in the main town area.

It's much lower than my expectations. My flight got in early so I went directly the hotel and plan to chill before check-in at 2pm. Wanting to use a hotel spa but only 1 staff there on that day and only available at 3pm. So one of the staff suggested that maybe I should go to the one at Aleenta but have to wait till 1.30pm. Then, we went to the restaurant by the pool, at first said the kitchen wasn't ready to serve foods until noon (its around 10.45am when I got there) so we started with some drinks and take forever. Staffs seem to be very confused even I speak Thai and English with them in most cases. Already asked for a late check out at 1pm the next day but before noon the reception called and asked us to hurry up and we said I already asked and they agreed on 1pm then she twisted the subject to I'm only asking for the time we'd like to check out so she can send me a bellboy. Overall, I'm very disappointed.

Great hotel, great experience. Lovely staff. Beautiful beach and pool. Only negative experience is they were very, very short of attentive staff for a large group dinner we attended but all other aspects of the stay made up for it.

Great place to relax, but eat off the property-$$
Amazing beach, lovely grounds and outbuildings. The rooms although spacious and nicely designed have tired furnishings. All drawers in our room fell out when pulled out more than half way (no slide rails on the drawers). The included breakfast was fair but it’s best to order off the menu, the morning buffet is limited. We knew the food was expensive beforehand but after buying the cheapest lunch for 2 on the menu and also having to pay for a bottle of water (which comes free 20 ft away in your room) all for $780 baht, that was the last meal/drink we had on the resort. There are far cheaper and better (real Thai food) options literally within a 2 minute walk (turn LEFT from main entrance) as well as 2 well priced shops with everything from drinks, snacks, bug spray and ice cream.

My kind of holiday...
It was a near perfect holiday for me since all I wanted was some solitude in my favourite environment of the seaside, just to recharge. :-) It was low season and the resort was quiet. Even the pool being under renovation didn't put a dent in things, since facilities at sister resort Aleenta as well as nearby Villa Santis were made available, providing some variation for my stay too. Service from the staff was uniformly good and friendly and I really appreciated June granting me such a late check-out on my last day, allowing me to maximise my holiday.

Conflicted! I want to love you but......
We stayed for 14 nights. Even though this is advertised as a 5 star resort - it is really only a 3.5 star. Other guests had the same feeling. It is a little tired and needs some TLC . We wanted a place to relax - we got it. Akyra is isolated with limited transport options - which would not work for everyone . It is about an hour to Phuket and 1.5 hours to Patong. Most of our time was spent around the pool (which is in need of repairs and not as clean as it should be). Re-tiling is needed and the spa pool was not working at all for our entire stay. We were expecting 3 restaurant options as per the website - only one restaurant was open. You did have the option of eating at their sister resort - but with the same chef, food variance was limited - and not true Thai - more a westernised version. Quality was an issue - and I had to return a spoiled meal to the kitchen much to their embarrassment. The bar was expensive - THB400 for a small glass of wine - more expensive than Sydney. A Thai massage is THB1000 and at the sister resort the same massage was THB2000. This did not sit well me, I felt like I was being taken advantage of (there is a local massage place - THB400 close to the hotel). Lastly, the rubbish on the beach is a big issue and very confronting - not a good thing to witness. Little effort is spent cleaning this up which is shameful. So many lovely resorts in Thailand, we will not be making a return to the Akyra for personal or MICE business travel.

Nevertheless are we glad that there have been a few things you did appreciate. Also very happy to see you found our team especially Marivic and her hospitality team great. Also it’s nice to hear you enjoyed the quietness and the gardens and lower occupancy. I would kindly like to take some time to respond to a few parts of your comments: Damaged Pool Tiles: Thank you for this comment and I am very happy to inform you that we are already in final stages of starting our pool repair which will include a full retiling. This was planned for the month of July and August but due to heavy monsoon storms and constant rain and winds it was not possible so was slightly postponed. Dirty Beach: As you mentioned the beach was messy which is unfortunately a common usual happening during these times of year and especially those days leading to your stay and the nights before heavy storms during the week and days bring very large waves with some dirt and debris onto the beach. (Even we make the actually large effort in cleaning this a few times a day – due to the highest tides of the year "July and mid August" this cleaning becomes close to meaningless …) as the next wave brings the next debris. We feel as sad about this as you might have done. But we appreciate your comments and will do even more beach cleaning in the future. I do apologize if that had a negative effect on you but rest assured should you come by the resort not during monsoon season you will find a totally different picture. Beautiful grounds & hotel, simply breathtaking view. The poolside villa is well worth the upgrade. The food is very good as well. The bartenders & wait staff are very friendly & helpful. If you have any concerns, contact June the manager. She is accommodating & sweet! Highly recommend this resort!

NIce, classy hotel with a beautiful beach
This hotel is simply amazing, with attentive staff and classy rooms furnished tastefully and with a super comfortable bed. This hotel is located a beachfront, and the beach is unspoilt and clean, perfect for a short jog during the evening. The breakfast has limited choices but with quality food. Good pastries and bread selection for a simple breakfast with some local cuisine. And if you are looking for a good, local joint for some delicious thai food, just visit the restaurant across the road, Co-Sea restaurant. The food is so good that we went back every night, trying the different dishes on the menu. (the green curry chicken, pad thai, cashew nut chicken is a must-try and also the fresh coconut and thai iced coffee). There are various activites offered daily by the hotel, some are complimentary while others require a fee. Overall, this is a perfect hotel for a relaxing holiday and to celebrate my birthday and anniversary made it even more special. Thank you Akyra for a good time and we hope to be back one day.

A really nice hotel on a fantastic beach. For me the beach is perfect, miles of soft white sand and gently rolling waves far from the tourist crowds. If you’re looking for peaceful, relaxation in almost privacy then this is ideal. The rooms are big, the garden is lovely and the food is really good. The furniture could be improved, it’s antique, rather hard with ill fitting draws and doors, and there’s no hanging space for swimming things. I still absolutely loved it though.

Nice hotel - reasonably priced, nice beach
Nice beach, comfortable grounds. Not for people who are after the 'Phuket' experience of shopping and nightlife as Patong is a 1-1.5 hour drive away. The hotel has a nice boutique feel to it. Well suited for honeymooners or couple who are after a relaxing stay.

Good hotel
As others have said. This hotel is right on a lovely long beach in a quiet isolated area. The hotel is clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The wife got stung by a jellyfish and TAN the restaurant /bar manager was wonderful in the care / treatment she gave. Many thanks to her.

Very Relaxing Stay at Akyra Beach Club
Everything was amazing. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The beach was majestic and essentially private. If you go in the ocean its quite possible you will be the only one swimming and able to look down the beach either way for about a mile and not see anyone. The complementary breakfasts were very well done. The premium beef, while pricey, was a particularly amazing meal. For me there were only a few negatives. The location is a bit of a double edged sword. Because you are 30 minutes north of the airport and off of Phuket Island the beach is basically deserted which is great. But if you want to go to Patong or Phuket Town its like 80 minutes. The only other minor complaint I would have would be mosquitos in the room. Every day I would have to kill them and then the next day I would get a new batch because when my room was being cleaned the door is left open for like 30 minutes. Beautiful hotel in quiet location
Truly a beautiful hotel, in a gorgeous beach setting. Location is remote, so very quiet. However, you will need a car to get anywhere. We did have some problems: 1. Room was filled with many small bugs everyday. Bathroom windows do not seal well. 2. Wifi in rooms is intermittent and unreliable. 3. We believe that we got some food poisoning from the restaurant, but not 100% is was from here. Despite these problems, I would recommend since it is really a beautiful hotel/location and staff are wonderful.

Regarding the possible food poisoning, we actually didn't have any case yet since we open and we keep our finger crossed. Rather than counting on luck, we do have a very strict HACCP process implanted by our International chef, an internal hygiene system that I do supervise also. I'm sorry if It did happen with us. We have worked with our in house IT on our Wifi issue too, and pest is one of the most important matter that we are taking care in a very serious manner with our Pest control contractor. On-the-beach resort, clean and lovely resort
1. The resort is located on the beach. There is perfect beach access. View is lovely. 2. The beach is one of the best ones in Phuket. It is clean and nice. Highly recommended. 3. The pool in the hotel is small but lovely. 4. Hotel staff is very helpful. They helped us book the taxi to the airport. In room dining takes 20 mins to arrive. 5. Food is very nice. 6. Spa is awesome.

Excellent few days!
This was a wonderful place for our last few days in Thailand. The standard of our room was excellent, the staff friendly, polite and helpful and and the setting on the beach was just lovely. The gardens were stunning and the whole place encouraged sophisticated 5-star relaxation. We went all inclusive for the last day (our anniversary!) which was great value with 2 hours massage included. The food was excellent. Natai beach is pretty much unspoilt with very few other developments and, although this lack of a hinterland might not appeal to everyone, there is a lovely restaurant opposite the hotel for a change of scene. We had a brilliant time and would thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful hotel at the beach
Akyra Beach hotel is very nice boutique hotel just north of Phuket. Frank and his staff will do their best to make your holiday a pleasant one. Breakfast is very good with high quality food and with enough variety to enjoy the start of our day. The location is right at the beach with a nice swimming pool overlooking the beach and ocean. The location of the hotel is a away from towns/entertainment so it serves well for a relaxing vacation but there is not too much to do around the hotel. They have complementary shuttle buses twice a week for shopping and going to another beach. Room are large and very clean equipped with all necessary amenities for a comfort and great stay. Fitness facilities, bar and restaurant are all excellent. Overall we had a great holiday.

Nice hotel close to the beach
I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and we had a wonderful experience! Staff was friendly. Amenities were great! They had pretty good breakfast every morning. Views from our seaside villa were amazing! We could see the ocean right from our room. It was so close to the ocean. Had a really nice infinity pool. Also got a massage there at their spa which was the best one I've had in Thailand. You won't be disappointed if you stay here! Great resort!

Nice hotel so close to the beach
We stayed here for 4 nights and we enjoyed the resort so much. Very close to the beach. We could see the ocean/pool from our room. Rooms were clean and nice and spacious. If you want something quiet this is definitely where u want to be. There is a restaurant right across from the resort which had great food! Staff is great and friendly! Very helpful! Definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful rooms with sea views
The hotel was at low occupancy due to the season. But it seemed as if you had the whole place to yourself. Some of the staff struggled with English, but that's our problem, we shouldn't expect them all to be fluent, we were in their country!

Super close to the beach. Service is awesome!
Long stretch of beach, wonderful for a getaway. Restaurant serves fabulous food, but if you want more options, there is a cafe and convenience store right at the entrance of the Resort. In Phang Na side, rather than Phuket, so a bit more secluded, but great for visit to Phang Na Bay. Quite a few perks including free drinks during white party, free flow bubbly and bloody mary at breakkie. 2-3pm free flow ice cream. Best part - the bean bags in the pool. I lazed on those for 2 days, undisturbed, serene. Will most certainly be back.

Great location
Certain aspect were excellent but the small things lets down this hotel, like information, nothing in the room at all, needed to ask what was going on, where we could go, what was available, where everything was, a good example was every Friday they have a beach party for the guests to meet the staff, it was by accident that we found out as there was no invitation given, very poor in this regard. also found room uncomfortable no where to sit in side the room particularly as outside the mozzies would attach relentlessly.

Good hotel on a great beach. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Mosquitoes in room are a nuisance. Fitness room is underwhelming but adequate. Service is extremely good.
