"Set in a lovely peaceful location. The room had everything we needed for a short stay over in Hereford. Room was spotlessly clean, shower and bathroom excellent. The 8am bell tolls ensured you checked out on time lol. We'll definitely book again."

"We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay in this elegant and historic building. The grounds are well maintained and the highlight is the walled garden with a large variety of fruit trees and a maze that puzzled us for a while! Our dinner was prepared with care and attention and the food was very tasty. A 5* stay in a 5* hotel.."

"We had a twin room with the beds pushed together, when separated them the floor was a little grotty. There was only one big towel for the two of us. Except for that though, staff where super helpful, amenities where favourable, parkings good. Breakfasts good! Would stay again."

The Castle of Brecon Hotel

The Castle of Brecon Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"A beautiful hotel in a lovely location. We stayed here for 4 nights in a Superior double room. The room had recently been refurbished. The bathroom was huge and very clean. The room itself was very nice with views across to the Beacons at the rear. Having the DAB radio on Radio3 was a nice touch when we arrived. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and professional. We paid extra for breakfast, and we dined in 2 nights too. Food was very good. Parking was ok but a little limited for the number of rooms. There is on-street parking close by and the Promenade car park is free 6pm-8am. Note: if you happen to have seen The Hotel Inspector episode from over 18 years ago with Alex Polizzi that features this hotel, please donโ€™t be put off. Time has worked wonders. It is unrecognisable from then. I believe itโ€™s now owned by The Coaching Inn Group. I wouldnโ€™t hesitate to stay again."
