"Probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was orderly and eager to help. It’s located 2,3 blocks from Kyoto station. There’s a fantastic noodle place right next door but there was always a line, even in the morning. We LOVED our stay at the Richmond and will be back the next time we’re in Japan."

"My favorite place I have stayed in Japan. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The Onsen was perfect. I was able to use it twice a day we had breakfast there and all the amenities were just what we needed after a long day. Cannot recommend this hotel more. They did a great job and I will be back next time."

"Perfect location for traveling to-and-from Kyoto Station, literally opposite the Hajicho East exit. You can use the station to see practically everything you might want to see in Kyoto. Nice clean quiet rooms, larger than normal for Japan. Don’t miss the breakfast in the Japanese restaurant in the basement Uoman…. It’s divine, if you like Japanese food. Regional specialties you won’t find elsewhere. The Aeon Mall next door is also great for travelers. Lots of options at regular (non-tourist) prices."
