Keep your eyes open and you might see wildlife in Tusayan as well as in the park. On my second night, as I was walking back from dinner, I was lucky enough to see a small herd of elk passing by right behind the second(back) building of the hotel

Tusayan is a very nice little village just minutes from Grand Canyon National Park. The one thing we didn't like were the high prices at the General Store. Plan ahead and get things in Williams before heading north.

Only one gas station in town (Texaco) and gas price was VERY high. Find gas elsewhere (like before you get into Tusayan).

Small little town right on the outskirts of the grand canyon entrance. It has plenty of dinning options.

It's a classic tourist town. It has the basics you expect. It's right on the road to the park. Assuming no jams you can get to the park entrance in around 15 minutes by car. Finding a place to park inside the park can be a very big problem. Go early.

Cute little town that makes visiting the Grand Canyon easy and convenient. There's only a handful of restaurants so that took a bit of research but we were there for the GC experience, so c'est la vie!

2 miles from South Gate to Grand Canyon. Only drawback the gas station right I'm down charges two dollars a gallon more than the station 20 miles down the road. That is dishonest to charge that much

The activities around Tusayan seemed a little costly but the overall experience was worth it even though the cost was a little higher than expected.
"We loved the location. It was in the park but still close to restaurants and stores outside the park. The pizza restaurant at the lodge was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The only disappointment was that there was no microwave in the room. "
"I loved the location inside of the park. It was nice having the convenience store next door. There were also multiple options for food and a cafe inside the hotel. Staff was friendly and check in and out were easy."
"Excellent accommodation just a few minutes from the Grand Canyon’s south entrance.
The room was spacious, well equipped with very comfortable beds, very good internet access and refreshments available all day.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.
There were a number of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and a couple of well stocked food shops.
My only criticism concerned the pool which was a little small for the number of users. However it was sparkling clean and there were a few sun beds and chairs and an abundance of nice pool towels.
It was a splendid 3 days stay."
"Great little set up with a very comfortable king bed. You can open up the screen vents and get a nice cool evening breeze through the tent
The only downside was the rough road in and out"
"Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Great location, a few minute drive from the Canyon, and super close to amenities. We walked to restaurants and shopping. Loved the room. Clean, cozy, and comfortable. "
"It would be nice if the rooms were another foot wider and two feet longer for a family of three. Loved all the products-lotion, shampoo and conditioner-very nice"
"I had no idea when booking that a "partial view" meant being right on the canyon rim with a tree or two in the way.
We had an ADA room that was perfect, with its own sidewalk to the room (no steps) and the bathroom was spacious. Two chairs so we could look out the window from inside or sit on our little entry patio. "
