the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully renovated old military hospital, high ceilings, sympathetic materials, amazing glazed lobby, most beautiful spa i have seen for a long time. The town is quite nice but nothing very special, had few drinks in the lovely square which was nice. Art museum was closed till 2024? and townhall under renovation.

Beautiful and relaxing stay
Beautiful hotel and spa. Super pool. Very stylish interior throughout hotel. Very nice room (we stayed in a suite). Lovely food and good service. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

The bedoom was beautiful but draughty from the large windows. Lovely furnishings and design. The pool and spa are fabulous. Overall a fantastic hotel with super facilities and a great destination.

3rd time not a charm
Third time at Royal Hainault and things have gone a bit off. 2 days with no towels available at the pool. The last night at the hotel our room wasn’t cleaned even after assurances they would clean it. Argumentative bar staff who despite a dry martini on the menu bring you a sea breeze and on the second attempt tell you they’re making the drink their way not the way you asked (light vermouth not 2/3rds). The food is divine and the physical hotel and rooms divine. The service just needs work.

We booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary weekend and so glad we did. Absolutely stunning and beautifully designed hotel. Everything about this hotel is beautiful just like all the photos we saw in their website. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Great location, a short walking distance to the center of town. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend!

This is a beautiful place, but not honorable. Even after you make a reservation and have fully paid weeks in advance. At a moments notice (the day before), they suddenly displace you to a cheaper hotel by the train tracks and offer you a drink as compensation when the other place is half the price and without any of the amenities. Finally negotiated a dinner as compensation for the headache.

Le cadre est splendide. La rénovation de l’ancien hôpital est une pure réussite. La piscine a beaucoup de cachet avec ses colonnes d’époque conservées.Le personnel est adorable et malgré le prestige de l’hôtel reste simple.

Dans l'ensemble les prestations hôtelières sont au niveau, en revanche la déception, la longueur du service en salle n'est pas acceptable, je peux comprendre les aléas en cuisine, mais on fait le maximum pour que cette expérience soit un plaisir. Ce qui n'a pas été le cas.... De surcroît les plats indigents la quantité, la présentation.... Heureusement les produits étaient de bonnes facture.

Magnifique Hôtel, quelques détails à améliorer
L'Hôtel est magnifique , l'alliance du moderne et de l'ancien est très réussie et en cette période de noël les décorations étaient magiques. Chambre impressionnante avec sa belle hauteur sous plafond, petit déjeuner de qualité, réactivité du personnel. Quelques détails sont en revanche un peu décevants pour un 4* et expliquent sans doute l'absence de 5ème étoile : pas de contrôle de notre pass sanitaire à l'arrivée alors que la carte de la chambre sert de pass partout dans l'hôtel y compris au restaurant (oubli?), concernant le SPA le hammam ne fonctionnait pas bien le 1er jour et il faut réclamer des serviettes qui ne sont pas proposées en arrivant au SPA. Enfin les produits de toilettes à disposition dans la salle de bain de la chambre sont en décalage avec le standing de l'hôtel . Ce sont des détails qui amélioreraient grandement l'expérience. Globalement nous sommes satisfaits de notre séjour le cadre et le service (hors SPA) étant à la hauteur d'un 4*.
