Excellent location and very friendly staff. Shower pressure was good too and the view to the canal from the room. Only negative things were that the reception has very limited opening hours and also the windows and doors could be more soundproof.

La Locandiera was a very pleasant, convenient, and relatively affordable place to stay for a first trip to Venice. The location could not be more convenient to visit the major sites and is central to the rest of the city. Though the building is old, the room was immaculate and well maintained. Guests should know reception is only open during the day. We checked in at night and used the self-checkin instructions without issue. The air conditioning was very effective.

Highly Recommend!

This was an awesome and great place to stay. While it is in a busy part of Venice, it was hidden in a quiet part of the area. Lots of great food activities and our room had a view of a canal. Really charming place to stay.

Although our experience was very good, at 7pm there were two families that we ran into that were trying to check in. No one was there and no one was answering the phone. We stayed with them for over 30 minutes when one family finally left to go to a different hotel, and the other family finally got contact with them after asking another hotel to reach out. We do not speak Italian and when I got one person on the phone, she said it was a residential line and to come back in the morning. She was very rude. So, with that: be careful and if you know you won’t be arriving early in the day, either find somewhere else to go or get in contact with them early. I’ve never seen anything like this before and am shocked. The poor families just wanted to get to their rooms after long days of travel and to get out of the rain.

A quiet area to stay away from the crowds which is nice after a long day walking around Venice. Room has everything you need and TV has Netflix. The rooms were clean and fresh water was given daily, I would stay here again!

Very easy to get to if you take the vaperetto to the Zaccaria stop. Easy walk to San Marco and the Doges Palace. Also, it is only about 100 meters from the only coin-operated laundry in Venice (well, we were told that it is the only one).

Quiet & Comfortable, Great Location

La Locandiera was the best place for us in Venice. So very close to St. Mark's square yet far enough off the beaten path to be very quiet and comfortable. The staff are friendly and so helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we were ever back.

Loved the location. Room was way over priced. Nobody at the front desk at checkout. We wanted to leave our bags and explore the area a bit more before leaving. In the ad they said the reception was open from 8 am to 8 pm. The price was drastically changed while booking. They advertised rooms for $128 and I was charged over $200. I didn’t catch it til 10 minutes after booking and they refused to let me cancel. The rating is too high. The room was clean.

Three things are good about this property: (1) location (2) great A/C, and (3) it's clean. What didn't like was there is one on-site except for cleaning. I sent $$ calling internationally for check in. The place is a two-star hotel for a reason - it's plain and simple. Not one piece of artwork anywhere in the building. It is a place to sleep and nothing more. The rooms are very small as well. Not worth paying $300/night....ever. There are much better hotels all around. Additionally, when I asked the owner to reduce my total stay by one night so I could stay nearer to the airport, she refused. I do not recommend this property.

Really liked my stay here! It’s a clean, no-frills hotel just a 5-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square. Gina and her colleague were super helpful — they even messaged on check-in day to make sure I found the place easily. If you’re arriving in Venice, take a water taxi to the San Zaccaria stop; the hotel’s an easy 5-minute walk from there. Lots of restaurants and bars around, and the rooms are simple but comfortable — perfect for a short stay in the city.

Le "Locandiere" sono persone molto garbate ed accoglienti. Malgrado l'arredo minimal della camera, tutto era scelto con gusto e la stanza risultave spaziosa. La struttura ha una posizione molto centrale vicina a tutti i punti dinteresse. Consigliata e ci torneremmo volentieri.

Super stadtnahe Lage, angenehm ruhig. Einzig gestört hat, dass man die Nachbarn beim Reden gehört hatte. Die Mücken waren auch anstrengend und die Klima ging teilweise nicht, was bei den Temperaturen nicht so schlimm war. Hat uns siper gefallen danke dafür!
