The hotel staff was friendly. The hotel is just far from all of the action. 25-30 dollar cab ride to get downtown. If your looking to be closer to St Marks Square, this isn’t the place for you.

The front desk staff were beyond excellent. I was checking in when I noticed one of them EXTREMELY patiently helping an elderly British guest who continued to demand that they help them with cell phone issues related to British telecom that had nothing to do with the hotel. The same level of courtesy and compassion were extended to all they interacted with. The rooms were great (especially for Venice) and I have no complaints at all.
