We had a lovely stay, really big comfy bed! Great location too. There were just a couple of things to be noted: the body wash was completely empty & had not been checked prior to check in and there were a few places in the room that had not been cleaned e.g around the rubbish bin & the bin itself, window sills don’t look like they’ve been cleaned in a long time etc. otherwise a wonderful stay and would rebook next time in welly

Disliked: Cleanliness
Our original room smelled like decomposition, but the front desk associate made it right. He was very very helpful and friendly. Otherwise seemed clean. Shower was small but had good hot water and pressure. Washer and dryer were fabulous. All said, I wouldn’t stay here again based on the very first impression, but for the price and location one could do worse.
This is a “downtown” hotel and comes as such. Overall everything inside the building was as expected with a very nice and spacious room for the cost. There is limited to little guest parking at a cost. Parking is less on the street or at the car park we were directed to but not convenient. Traffic noise is noticeable and lots of people of all sorts surround the area(again this is a downtown hotel) all amenities are within walking distance as well as to the waterfront. Overall good value but be prepared for the downtown experiences of little guest
Parking, difficult lobby to check in and typical downtown traffic and local transients.
Very comfortable suite. We had a whole apartment with separate bedroom and laundry facilities. Beds were super comfy, nice bedding. They even supplied laundry soap. Downside we had to park on the street and pay $18/day! Close to Cuba street. Wifi worked really well.
Area was ok , good for Cuba St eateries. Bit of a hike into main shops. Room was very clean, bed comfortable, good to be able to prepare and cook own breakfast. Washer and dryer good though didn’t use them for only a 3 night stay. I had a rather nondescript view onto a vacant section but realise I wasn’t paying the price for a harbour view so that was ok.
Very impressed with Ramada, clean tidy room, pretty spacious and very quiet.
Great central location cloae to everything, and perfect for what we wanted for concert in Wellington.
Only very small downside was Sky channels on tv didnt appear to work, but luckily werent there to watch tv for long, so not a huge deal. Overall very happy with our stay.
I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada Wellington. It is close to Cuba Street where there are numerous restaurants for various food choices. The hotel
Does not have “in house” restaurant or bar services which I did not realize prior to travel but that was my fault in not checking it out. Again the close proximity to Cuba Street eliminated that as a concern. The hotel staff were fantastic and very helpful. The room I had was like a small one room apartment with a small kitchenette and the bathroom also had a washer and dryer. Tea, instant coffee and hot chocolate were provided along with mugs and utensils. While I generally prefer hotels with in house restaurant and bar services, I would stay here again
The hotel rooms were clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Washing machine, dryer, kitchen. Walkable distance to the seaside Te Papa museum and Cuba Street.
Only flaw is that somehow the air conditioner in my room switches off every 2 hours. I'm not sure if it's centrally controlled or what because there's no way I could reset any timer.

Noisy
Very disappointing. You have to stay more than 3 days in order to get room service. We had to wait all day for fresh towels. Only 2 towels per suite. No where to put luggage. Skimpy living room furniture. Only two uncomfortable chairs and a small table. Very noisy+++.
Excellent location, 5m walk to everything. Well furnished with knives, plates, bowls, utensils, microwave, toaster, laundry machines, fridge, kettle, etc.. just like a hotel apartment.
Love this place

Perfect for a holiday stay
The Ramada is located within walking distance of a number of famous eateries, and, if you are willing to stretch it a bit, within walking distance of the botanical gardens as well as the cable car. The suites are very big, with a sitting room and bed room, and has a well laid out bathroom with a washing machine and dryer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, a place that I'd recommend without any hesitation

The room size was great with in room washer dryer, a plus. It wasn’t as clean as other places we’ve been but still fine. Front desk staff are very nice, parking on site but it is tricky to drive into. Little gym also
Likes: small but well supplied kitchen, bed & pillows comfy, WASHER AND DRYER IN ROOM, proximity to Cuba St., large New World grocery store, lots of hot water in shower. Hunter at the front desk was phenomenal!
Dis-likes: Room was on 2nd floor above busy Vivian St., right on the main thoroughfare to the hospital; noisy. Also did not like the TV on the wall in the living room area instead of the wall in the bed alcove. There was only one comfortable chair to watch TV in a room for two people.

Kia Ora Kimberly, Thanks for taking the time to provide us feedback. We appreciate it. We hope to see you again!
We had two of the most helpful front desk staff, Hunter and Tona, who problem solved everything. They made our stay a wonderful experience. Cheers guys.

Kia Ora Anne, Thank you so much for your review. It is our pleasure! Hope to see you again soon.
An excellent place to stay. Very well appointed, brilliant location - walkable to downtown, harbour and Cuba Street - and really helpful and friendly staff. My one criticisism is that the lighting in the living area is a bit harsh and unadjusable; some lights in addition to the ceiling ones would be good

This property was within walking distance from the harbour. The room had all the faciities for a comfortable stay and one could manage without visiting restaurants for dining. Very helpful staff.
Location is a short walk to shops and the harbour. Room was clean and quiet.

Newly remodeled? Nice suite, excellent staff
Feels like the hotel may have been recently remodeled? Small lobby area (felt very New York City in that respect), but the King Suite we stayed in was a generous size and well-appointed. Washer & dryer in-unit(!), OK-sized shower, but no bathtub (which was just fine with us). Towel warmer!

Kia Ora!Yes the building is actually just over 2 years old so very new indeed. We are so glad you had a lovely stay, hopefully we will see you again soon.
The Ramada was great value through Expedia. Our room was really spacious with lovely floor-to-ceiling windows and a sunny, northerly aspect. Despite being on a relatively busy street, the noise was minimal, and we slept really well. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. It was a bonus being able to park the car at the hotel for an affordable fee, and the car-stacker was very efficient. The hotel is in a great location, especially if you want to be close to Cuba Street, which is a vibrant part of the city with great shops and eateries. Make sure you buy any groceries before Moore Wilson’s (on Tory Street) closes at 6pm, otherwise the nearest supermarket is in Willis Street. There are dairies nearby though for the basics. We will definitely stay at the Ramada again.

Great central hotel in Wellington
Great hotel in the CBD close to St James theatre. Clean, modern with added benefit of kitchen and laundry if needed. Only recommendation I would make is a 2nd lounge chair for TV watching.

We loved everything about our stay.
The only down side is…..the vent under the kitchen cupboards kept making a rattle noise and it was quite loud and kept waking us up 😠
We will stay here again though.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Many thanks for the review! We hope you stay with us again sometime soon!Fingers and toes crossed, the vent will be fixed by then! Lol Kind Regards
Room had very basic amenities. The washer and dryer was a nice addition. Besides that, a forgettable stay. Very limited on site parking was especially frustrating.

Have started using Ramada around the country and find the appartments consistently good. Easy walk 2 blocks down to Courtney Place. Can park overnight right outside on street. Will continue to stay here when visiting Wellie.
