"Grand House is one of Chicago's best kept secrets. It's like staying at a friend's apartment for the night while they are away (but they have left you everything you will need to have a great stay). My room was extremely clean. The air conditioner was brilliant (it got so cold that I had to turn it down). I asked for a thicker blanket and the staff member at the house when I checked in gave me a wonderfully warm snuggly comforter and I left the air on (just like I like it). I paid the extra $25...

But it’s like 3 minutes from Chicago Blue line and a minute away from the bus station. Food is not a problem since there is a Korean grocery nearby. There is also a nearby Catholic church. The ameneties in this loft hotel is complete so if you are looking for a budget style trip and accommodation, I highly recommend this place."
"You get what you pay for, the price of the rooms matches the experience. The wifi barely works for streaming, but I was able to use my hot spot. There were some cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in the room. The A/C unit in the signature room worked great and the curtians were great for keeping the room super dark in the morning. Can also hear lots of street noise and everyone coming in and out of the hostel from the Signature room."
"The code that was provided was incorrect. I was so anxious waiting outside the building until I was lucky that other guests were out and helped me get in. I tried reaching the “24/7” line but no response until a while and they had to reset everything before I was able to get in. First and last time I will be staying here. The bed is so small for even one person and the bathroom lights felt like a ghost was there. Do not book here, your anxiety will be through the roof !"
