"I was sceptical at first given that I was informed after booking that there would be building works ongoing during our stay and some facilities would not be available. However, this did not affect our stay at all! We loved our stay at The Castle Hotel as a family of 4. To start, the Reception Team were very welcoming and friendly on arrival. I had already informed the hotel that we were celebrating our son’s birthday and they made such a fuss of him! When we arrived in our room, our son was surprised with a lovely birthday message, gift and beautiful ‘happy birthday’ written in chocolate along with chocolates, he was absolutely delighted with this! The room itself was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. The air conditioning was great and we were very grateful for the inclusion of the contents in the mini bar after a hot day exploring Windsor. The location of the hotel is perfect and right in the middle of everything, including Windsor Castle. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend."

"We had a very comfortable stay, the bed and pillows were great, the air con worked well, the shower was fantastic, and there was minimal noise - all round ideal and at a reasonable price too. Reception was friendly. Breakfast was OK, but we have had better and service could maybe do with a little improvement. Overall, we would recommend and we’ll stay here again."

"Our room was spacious with a great view of Windsor Castle. We arrived early but our room was ready and we checked in about 1:00 PM. The location is in the heart of Windsor, a short walk to shopping, dining, the Thames and of course Windsor Castle. I do wish there was better air conditioning, this seems to be an issue in England, other hotels on our trip had the same problem. Overall I'd recommend the Harte and Garter and would stay there again."

"Very nice, comfortable room, nice to have the kitchen. Lots of space outside to eat and relax! The kids loved the animals and that it’s clise to Legoland! The restaurant near by was really nice too and also easy to get around without a car."
