(This is saying a lot as I am from Alaska and have a high level of expectation for views ) the family that runs the base camp and restraint were so sweet this was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in my life. We stayed for a night, left really early in the morning to make it in time for Machu Picchu, and returned to collect our luggage in the afternoon before our train back to Cusco (they will have breakfast ready for you in the morning and store your luggage free of charge)."
