Fake apartments

My worst experience in ten years. I arrived at the apartment 16:30 and check-in time was at 14:00. The code didn’t work to enter the apartment. “Try again the system says it should work” was the answer I got. I tried it ten times and even filmed myself entering it. They told me to wait for help. It took one hour before the manager called. Sorry you have to pay an extra fee to activate the code. I had already paid through hotels.com. Yes but you must pay an extra fee using a link we email you now. I paid the extra fee but still the code didn’t work. Oh, we have to inform you the apartment is not ready yet. They haven’t cleaned it yet. I think this is a fraudulent set up sonstay away from it. I have reported it to Hotels.com

Alojamiento con una situación inmejorable, en Alfama. Las fotos del anuncio están mezcladas con otros apartamentos que deben tener en el edificio. Este apartamento tiene una habitación, baño, cocina, salón y comedor. También tiene una pequeña terraza con unas bonitas vistas de los tejados de Alfama y de la iglesia de San Miguel. El apartamento está super limpio. Los únicos inconvenientes son que la ducha tiene cortina y se sale todo el agua fuera y que la cocina tiene en general poco menaje, sólo hay 2 cazos, una sartén, 2 trapos de cocina y no había bayeta. Sí que tiene cafetera, tostadora, lavavajillas y horno. Os lo recomiendo!

Komplizierte "stylish" Lisbon Apartment

Die Lage des Apartments in der Altstadt Alfama ist gut und man hat kurze Wege um in der Stadt die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Es handelt sich um eine 3 Zimmer Altbauwohnung die modern eingerichtet ist. Allerdings ist alles sehr hellhörig und man nimmt am Leben der Mitbewohner teil. Problematisch waren die umständlichen Formalitäten um überhaupt einen Zugang zum Apartment zu erhalten, der über einen Eingangscode mittels eine Tastatur erfolgt. Den Zugangscode erhält man nur dann, wenn der Aufendhalt vorab vollständig bezahlt wurde und noch diverse Nebengebühren wie Reinigung 24,00 €, Lissabonsteuer 4,00 € für 2 Tage, später Check in ab 22.00 Uhr für 20,00 € oder nach Mitternacht in Höhe von 30,00 € bezahlt worden ist. Über diese "Gebühren" erfährt man erst kurz vor Ende der Buchung. Die Zahlung kann nur über Kreditkarte erfolgen, zunächst die Zahlung des Mietpreises an das Buchungsportal und dann noch die weiteren Zahlungen direkt an den Vermieter. Wenn ich vorher von diesen Kompliziertheiten gewusst hätte, wäre eine andere Unterkunft erste Wahl gewesen. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, die etwas weichen Matratzen sind mit einem Gummituch überzogen, dass Bad ist klien aber funktional. Insgesamter Eindruck dann doch aller Probleme o.k.

Awesome apartment

The location of this apartment is perfect - in the heart of lively alfama but easily accessible by taxi. The owners were wonderful and very flexible with our check in (we were quite early). Apartment was clean and beautifully furnished. We would definitely stay again!
