The journey costs AUD$6 per person one way, and takes you between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2&3. A taxi can be ordered between terminals, which should take approximately 10 minutes dependent on the time of day you are traveling. This journey will cost you roughly $17 - AUD$22 depending on the taxi company, and traffic.

Airport Link is a train service that runs between T1 and T2&T3, charging AUD$6.10 per person for a one way ticket, unless you have an Opal card in which case you will . The journey between terminals should take approximately 2 minutes and visit frequently from the hours of 05:00 – 00:00.

For those of you flying between a Qantas domestic and Qantas international service either way, you should check your eligibility to use the Qantas Seamless Transfer Service.

Getting From Sydney Airport to Sydney City Centre

By Train: Train stations that operate the Airport Link service can be found in both Terminal 1 and then also between Terminal 2 & Terminal 3. The station at Terminal 1 (International) is located over at the northern end of the terminal accessible on the Arrivals level. Terminal 2 & Terminal 3 (Domestic) has the station located between the two terminals also on the Arrivals level. Trains are frequent usually coming every 10 minutes, with the train journey into central taking approximately 13 minutes. Tickets to central stations from the domestic terminals (T2&T3 cost AUD$17.50, and the same journey from the international terminal (T1) will cost you AUD$18.50.

By Taxi: There are two taxi ranks, one serving the two domestic terminals, and the other outside the international terminal. There are a number of different taxis appropriate for all sorts of customer requirements (no. seats, wheelchair access, baby capsules, etc), that supervisors will point you in the direction of the nearest most ideal taxi. Taxi fares will vary dependent on time, distance and company but will usually charge AUD$45 - 55 in Sydney city centre.

By Bus: There is a bus service running along Route 400 that travels between Bondi Junction and Burwood, this service stops at both international and domestic terminals of Sydney Airport. There are clearly marked bus stops that can be found outside each terminal. The bus from outside the domestic terminals will take you approximately 45 minutes to Sydney Central Station and cost you AUD$3.50 with an Opal card. Travel from the bus stop outside T1 to Sydney Central Station will take you 55-58 minutes and will cost you AUD$3.50 with an Opal card.
