“Gives feeling at home at a hotel meaning.”
Great hotel! Staff were fantastic and friendly, seemed very accustomed to non-Japanese speaking hotel stayers. Room cleaned whenever asked (but they usually ask upon you leaving the hotel in the mornings). No food included, but FamilyMart and a few eateries nearby. Kodenmacho station is like 2-3 minutes away by foot, and you can easily access Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Roppongi etc by the Tokyo Metro lines. Only down side would be the size of the room, but that being said, all/most Tokyo hotel rooms will be the same. It's got everything you need, sleep there at night, explore during the day!
“Definitely visiting again!”
The hotel and staff were absolutely lovely, would highly recommend. V.easy to get from Tokyo Station, just jump on the Sobu line, usually platform 3-4 and its one stop away, you get off at Shin-Nihonbashi. Its also a 20 min walk to Akihabara. You can have internet in you room via a cable but wifi is available in the foyer. i will definitely visit again.
“A geat place to stay”
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, I travelled in Tokyo on my own so my room was small but it did have a big and comfy bed, there was a TV and wired internet access and on the 4th and 6th floors was a washing machine so i could wash my own clothes. It was in a good area with 3 good train stations near and it was a good place to find nice and cheap places to eat, it was easy to find and staff there were very helpful, yes they only have speak limited english but they will still help you as much as you can. If you looking for a cheap place to stay then this is perfect.
“will come back”
The room is very small. But compare to its price and the location, the hotel is a valued product and people are friendly and helpful. I am glad that I found this one.
“"We will definitely go back if we go to Tokyo again""”
Our family of 4 stayed in this nice hotel for a week in June 2011; our conclusions: 1. The location is great - just 230m from Kodenmacho Station. ***** 2. The location is great - just 320m from Ningyocho Station. ***** 3. The rooms are very very very clean. ***** 4. The hotel staff are very friendly and patient, and very very helpful. ***** 5. There are many eateries around - within walking distance. ***** 6. The rooms are very small - so do not expect much comfort. *** 7. It is extremely value-for-money - for budget travellers like us! ****** 8. We will definitely stay at Hotel Horidome Villa again!!!
“Stayed once, stayed again”
My previous stay was great, so I decided to stop by again since I was travelling from the South side of Japan to the North side.
“Typical Tokyo business hotel. Good location.”
Hotel was as expected; pretty typical for Tokyo from what I have experienced in this price range. Room was small, but clean. Staff were very attentive and helpful. I was pleased with the location near the center of town, Tsukiji, and Ginza.
“will definitely go back”
excellent staff manner, knowledgeable about my enquiries and always polite and helpful.the room was cleaned to a fantastic degree.great location,a few underground stations around as well as a JR line.local supermarket underneath the hotel.a cheap eatary across the hotel.post office very close as well as banks to change currency.Overall I am very satisfied with this hotel and the service the staff provided.Very good indeed!!!
“Small room, but great overall”
Room is smaller than your average American room, but the service is great and the rooms are very clean. It is close to several train stations, which can take you to around places. Its not too far from the major tourist attractions, especially close to Tsukiji (great for sushi), Ginza, Emperor's Palace, and many others. I just asked the front desk for information, they gave me maps and wrote on them so that I can understand where to go. Also there is a restaurant and convenience store next to the hotel. Very good stay.
“Great Value”
The room itself was small for the two of us, but you can't beat the price. If I went back, I would look for a hotel sooner than 2 weeks. If I couldn't find a bigger room for the same price, I would definitely stay here again. It's right in the center of the city, so it's convenient to visit all the different neighborhoods. However, it's more of a working neighborhood (which kept it very quiet), so if you want nightlife, check out Shibuya or Shinjuku. Also, the front desk was super nice, but they did not speak great english. Lastly, I was hoping for Wifi, but there was only an ethernet cord. Free coffee in the morning. I was there in July of 2010. Bring a student ID if you have one, even if it is expired. There are a lot of discounts!
