"This is a great hotel option right in the heart of Oxford. The street around it is a bit busy and slightly grimy, but once you step into the downstairs entrance to the hotel you feel safe, comfortable, and everything was fresh and tidy. Our room was on the backside so we had no street noise issues. The room exceeded my expectations for the cost in its charm and features. This is a great option for a midrange priced hotel! I would definitely stay here again."

"Most wonderful place on earth! Gorgeous property, warm & attentive staff in every position and the most sublime food. I cannot say enough good things and the marvelous staff should all be commended. "The hotel did not meet expectations or the description online and we had a very disappointing stay. The private bathroom was outside the room across from the stairway with no key given, so anyone could use it even though it was to be private for you. If I knew the private bathroom was not ensuite, I would not have booked this hotel. The bathtub has a hand-held shower spray but water was either scalding hot or cold-difficult to mix to get warm water. Except for the four-poster bed, nothing else...
