Restaurant could have provided a wider selection of ala-carte dishes albeit simple dishes like ramen, donburi, burgers, etc instead of restricting ala-carte dishes to be chosen only from the set menu.

Stayed here one night on the way up the Alpine route. Everything was just perfect here, from the excellent breakfast spread, onsen facilities, the wellkept grounds to the warm hospitable service at the front desk. Wish I’d spent a few more days here to relax.

The hotel service is exceptional. Beautiful room and comfortable bed. Is a historical legendary building.

Excellent staff service! Clean rooms and great onsen too! Wished there was crab in the Buffet meals. Breakfast was unexpectedly great! 😊👍

It was amazing!

The gentleman who check us in was very helpful and friendly and provided such good service!

Very helpful staff. Shower, bath tub and wash basin all combined in same room so bathroom floor tends to get very wet.

Modern Ryokan . Stayed in deluxe room , top floor facing river . Modern furnishing, big windows , bright and cosy , big room size , with a beautiful view . Very comfortable bed. Some English speaking staff , excellent service. Nice and cosy lounge , free drinks n coffee. Onsen was very good especially the outdoor ones , compared to many ryokans in the same category. Very good japanese bf in a private room . However the kaiseki dinner was below expectation for tis category of luxury Ryokan ....

The hotel is really great with excellent service. The room is big and comfortable and the dinner is tasty.

All the staff speak English which makes communication easy. I like being shuttled to restaurants for our dinners. The free laundry is definitely a plus point.
