"The hotel and room are dated but were presented extremely well. A great price for such a great location. Free parking in Ponsonby was fantastic, parked up and headed out for dinner and drinks. We will definitely stay here again. "

"This place is a little gem!! Our 4th time staying here. Family with young children. The rooms are always clean and functional with tea/coffee and toiletries etc. Although parts of the hotel appear run down in some areas…(just paint work etc, they really aren’t where it matters!! It also gives the hotel its character. Strong showers, great beds and pillows, spacious rooms. Very clean. Pool is always clean. Staff are super friendly. Restaurant is super handy and chef is so knowledgeable and accommodating. They will always have the sport playing if it’s on. Drinks and food reasonably priced. Parking is free and plentiful. There is a really nice bakery and Pizza Hut just 100m up the road if you need a snack or something extra for later. Highly recommend. Will book again for our next trip to AKL. "
