"We flew in very late and stayed in airport as long as we could before heading here. Staff held our bags while we walked a bit but managed to let us in early! Room is small but well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast and coffee on the roof was lovely. Laundry services are available and the entire staff was awesome. May have been the highlight of our time spent on the island. It is close to shopping mall, lots of food and a night market. Also very close to lots of walkable street art"

"Great hotel. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, great pool and amazing breakfast. What was lacking was the ability of the front desk staff to provide good restaurant suggestions. There should be a list that the hotel provides with suggestions. I would definitely recommend the Eastern and Oriental Hotel and would stay there again."

"Toilet tank had a little trouble refilling, but that was easily fixed by adjusting the water control taps behind the toilets. Otherwise - everything perfect."

"Spacious rooms, excellent location and functionality.. Nothing spectacular, but everything avaliable and walking distance for everything. Grab to everywhere is less than 10 minutes. Highly recommended if you want to be in Georgetown "

"Gorgeous hotel and beautiful room for a very good price. Prob the best hotel on our Malaysian travels. Amazing rooftop swimming pool (with crazy see through bottom) and rooftop bar with stunning views. Downside was no breakfast available at hotel but they offered a free morning bus service into town and suggested food places for breakfast. 5 stars and would definitely recommend xx"

"Extremely glad that we chose this hotel on this trip to Penang. Room was very nice clean and with lovely sea view. All the staff especially at the club were extremely nice, warm, helpful and very friendly thus made our stay welcoming. There is one staff in particular that stands out is Mr Samson from the club lounge. Thank you. Breakfast and cocktail food and drinks were very good clean and very well presented. "

"Facility is 4.5 or 5 star. Management questionable. No real how water for the showers. Could not use pool for two days due to poor water clarity. No signs on this either! "
