"Hotel was beautiful. Lovely resort feeling. Some of the pools were closed while we were there which was a shame, but we enjoyed the ones that were open. Only thing I found strange was there were no floating rings for the lazy pool. Didn’t feel like a lazy pool when you had to swim it yourself!"

"This hotel was in a great location and was quite convenient to a lot of places (good for tourists)- it’s situated in a mall so lots of food options, pharmacy (or beauty stores), and shopping galore! The staff were very pleasant and friendly, our room was spacious (for 2 people) and clean, and the breakfast inclusion was very good. Although we were not able to eat breakfast everyday cause it was just too crowded, the days that we were able to, food was quite good."

"Room was fine but the room we got had the tv facing the side of the bed. We had to sit off the edge of the bed, swivel our heads (which strained pur necks) or sit at the table in uncomfortable upright chairs. The reception staff, concierge and especially the housekeeping staff, were good. The low point of the stay was our dinner at Oscar's. What i remember of the once very good restaurant is now a third rate version of its old self. The food: generally so-so to bad across the board. Either overcooked (vegetables; noodles stirred to rubber), undercooked (rendang not braised long enough), badly handled (bbq very underwhelming; roast beef station staffed by someone who cant handle the fork and knife needed to slice the meats; aglio olio was mangled--the same beef station staff member couldnt do pasta either, with the dish a soggy watery mess, no discernible taste). Overall the food was deceptively appetizing. Once you taste it, you realise the original Oscar's doesnt exist any more. Staffing: management really needs to look seriously here. Servers and wait staff impact the dining experience. You need to have properly trained staff. Have the proper care of training your new Nitec recruits. Overall Oscar's needs a major overhaul. Its $88 for the buffet, not twenty bucks. Management needs to taste assess and train. My cup of coffee shouldnt have arrived half sloshed on the saucer. "

"The check in was a bit slow, and I got sent to the wrong elevator bank, but apart from that the staff were very friendly and helpful. I wasn't a big fan of the room, which was quite small, and I couldn't get electronics to work properly. The breakfast buffet was decent. Plenty of good amenities, including pool, restaurant, laundry, and gym. The location is nice, close to the river walk, or else not far from the subway."
