Great location and a great price. Breakfast was simple, but good. The bedroom walls need to be painted, the bathtub was clear but the bathroom walls were not (dirt and other people's hair on it).

The matress, and pillows HAS to be replaced, very cheap covers etc. Bed in a bag might be a good choice for this guys. The shower A+. Good location with paid parking on site

The location of the hotel was ideal for my trip and the staff was very friendly, however I was not pleased with my room. The WIFI was not very good and my room key failed on numerous occasions.

The location is excellent for walking to many of the City tourist highlights plus nice neighborhood cafe's within a couple of blocks. Only hard part was access to electrical outlets in room for charging and/or using electrical equipment

Nice hotel. Good location. Minimum issues.
The hotel is very clean and the staff are very attentive to your needs. The breakfast was good and the area clean. The Wi-Fi signal was weak in the room but that may have been a one off issue. The last 2 days of the stay they had issues with hot water. The problem seemed to be that a pump had failed. It was nothing they could don have prevented it. It was a weekend and it is very difficult to find any company that will come in and work on those days.

Great few days in The Argentinian Capital.
We stayed 4 nights at hotel Impala . Wee believe it is excellent for the price we paid. The staff was very friendly and approachable. Would have liked a jug and cups in the room however we believe that is not a common feature in Buenos Aires.

Location is great, some rooms are fine, not all
Do NOT take a room with twin beds on lower floor. It's worse than a hostel and claustrophobic. Musty and mildew. No hair dryer. Sheets/covers were old and dirty. Nothing like the pics. Wish I had taken one but we couldn't bear to be in that twin room more than needed. They put us there on first night saying they were full. The staff is nice and helpful but nothing they can do about quality of building and amenities. Hot water did not work. When it did, the shower does not maintain a heat level and my husband got a first degree burn. The second night they put us in a room with a balcony overlooking the street and it was a nicer room - looks like the photos we saw before booking. However, the maid never cleaned the drinking glasses on. Second day, she just rinsed the same ones. No hair conditioner. No hot water in shower on second day. We were told it was a problem in the building. Water was hot rest of the days. This room had a hair dryer. Breakfast is okay if you like pastries and carbs. Excellent location!

You cannot use the safe in your room ***
I had booked this hotel for 4 days, pre-payed. Upon check-in, I noticed that I could not use the in-room safe (inside the closet - it was not digital but mechanical, with a dial). I went down to the reception and asked for help with setting up the safe so that I can lock my valuables. The receptionist made a grin and rolled his eyes (this clearly told me that they already knew of this problem existing ), but he told me that he will send someone to help me. True, soon a very friendly staff appeared. He looked at the safe and told me that it was "unusable" and that I should not use it (he also said that there was something wrong with the batteries). He advised me to have my valuables locked at the reception. This would be quite inconvenient, I have to say. I had stayed at many different hotels in many different countries, but all of them had a working, usable safe inside my room. I have never experienced any problems with safety, or with any of my belongings missing or being stolen. I asked immediately if I could get, perhaps, another room (thinking that this may be the case with only this particular room and that other rooms may have a working safe). This staff called the reception and checked, and the response was "no available rooms now, perhaps tomorrow". I did not feel safe and comfortable so I decided to check out, 15 minutes after I checked in, inspite of loosing money (four days pre-payed). So I stayed at another hotel. No, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff was very helpful and the front desk staff speak English with is a huge plus. The rooms are small but so is every hotel in South America. Just imagine being on a cruise ship. The breakfast is a true continental breakfast. Bread, pastries,ham and cheese deli sliced, cereal, juice and coffee.It is very easy to catch a taxi outside of the hotel. You can waive one down or they will call one for you. Overall I had a pleasant stay and would come back again.

The location is great and the service excellent. They go out of their way to help and answer questions with a smile. Love the service. The hotel is older but the bedding is new and very clean which is very important to me. Breakfast is good. If you are looking for luxury go some place else and pay that price. Will stay there again. Very happy!!

I stayed here for a few nights in December 2014. It is it a nice safe area called Retiro. It was five blocks from two different metro stations on two different lines. It was about a 10-15 minute walk from the Tierrra Leon bus station, which provides a direct bus to/from the International Airport EZE, so I did not need to take a taxi to/from the city to the airport. The staff was very friendly, one or two of them does speak some English, and they were accomodating when I asked to change floors, from the 3rd to the 1st floor because the Wifi did not work on the 3rd floor but worked perfectly on the 1st floor. When I needed them to open a bottle of wine, they were more than happy to do it.

There are no glaring defects about this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are well maintained, although they are a little old. The big downside is that the walls are pretty thin, so the rooms can be loud. The breakfast is decent, but nothing amazing. The WiFi worked well in our room.

This hotel was conveniently located near city centre - walking distant to shops and restaurants. Our room has cigarettes smell, bed were hard, hotel looks dark and needed to be updated. Breakfast was quite disappointing with dry croissants and stale bread. The friendly staff is helpful and speaks English.

Good location and very caring staff.
I could say enough good things about the staff -- I'm an elderly traveller and had many concerns and questions which the staff dealt with in a very professional manner. I was very grateful for all the help I received.

Choose another hotel - the service is very poor
I had a very bad experience with this hotel, despite a special request for a quiet room due to an early morning flight I was allocated a room with a very loud jumbo jet sound of the aircon in the room above. The room initially allocated was on the second floor, it did not have air condiitioning or a safety deposit box that worked within the room despite advertising the room as such and being charged for this. I chose the hotel for the safety deposit box in the room and air con and location. The service was extremely poor. Staff kept telling me to complain to the manager that was only available at certain times, during which I was on excursions. when I left my complaint with staff the manager has till this date not responded. I was moved to another room but still charged full rate for a room which I did not sleep in as my flight arrived at 1am and I had to leave for another country early that morning. The location is nice, but staff are not helpful IF you have a problem, their standard response is "its impossible".There are many other hotels for the same price which offer a superior service and offer at least what they advertise on Esmeralda Ave. I also saw a large dead cockroach in the women{s reception toilet. My list of complaints can go on...my advise is to search for other budget hotels that offer a much better service .

The photos provided by the hotel do not show the real conditions the rooms are so tiny very stretch the shower is imposible for humans is very tight the desk is a joke and they have the bad idea tu put mirrors everywhere so you can think that the space is big BUT it is not

Basic for a short visit
Being wintertime we had to turn airconditioning on and sometimes it just blew cold air, when we opened the window to air the room, it was very difficult to close it. The room is just a bit too small for three beds, but, since we only slept/had breakfast/shower there it was excellent, on tops our friends lived just around the corner, so location was great, even for the first time visitors - you can get everywhere on foot! Breakfast was good to, bit boring every day, maybe some boiled egss for a change, love croissants and dulce!

Very Bad Hotel
This is one of the worst hotels I -EVER- stayed in. It is dirty, noisy, the beds are horrible! THe room smelled like someone just died there. Don't make my mistake and NEVER stay at this dump. The pictures on hotels website are not representative of what the room looks like. it is a -0- star hotel.

Staff & location to get to sites made hotel better
First, the very good points. The staff was very good, especially the bellman named Alexander who was superb! He made calls for us to find us a tango/dinner show and assisted us with our bags when we arrived and when we left. The location is not bad since it is walking distance to a very good tango/dinner show (Tango Porteno) and to the cemetary where Eva Peron is buried (the cemetary with all of the mosques is a must in Buenos Aires). While the room wasn't terrible, my wife thought the towels could have been a bit cleaner as well as the shower. Plus, the complimentary breakfast didn't have the best assortment. All in all, if you are looking for a somewhat inexpensive hotel, you could do worse.

The hotel is very central, close to major city atractions but the room is small and not well maintened. The cleanliness of the room needs to be improved. The breakfast is good, ask for the fresh "media lunas"

Estive no hotel Impala pela primeira vez . Ja estive em vários hotéis em buenos aires e em nenhum tive um atendimento tão amável como nesse hotel . Excelentes funcionários . Quarto agradável de bom tamanho mas banheiro um pouco pequeno . A rua LIBERTAD fica a uma quadra da av SANTA FE , entre as ruas ARENALES e JUNCAL .Rua muito tranquila sem trafego de onibus e muito silenciosa a noite . Contratei sem café da manha pois gosto de conhecer os cafés da cidade . Casa de cambio a uma quadra , muito perto da praça Vicente Lopes, uma das mais lindas da cidade com cafés, sorveteria Freddo , doceiras , pizzaria, igreja católica e comercio local .Hotel vizinho da Farmacity e supermercado DIA além de haver tambem um CARREFOUR na rua vicente lopez . Adorei minha estadia . Voltarei assim que possível

Por sobre todas las cosas destaco la atención del personal, el trato de las recepcionistas fue muy amable. La habitación súper cómoda y limpia al igual que las instalaciones en los pasillos y en los espacios comunes del lugar, súper recomendable tanto como para una noche o una estadia. El hotel tiene una excelente ubicación a una cuadra de av santa fe, av 9 de julio, cercania con medios de transporte variedad de lugares para salir a conocer y restaurantes para ir a comer. Lugar ideal para volver.

Simples mas bem localizado
Escolhemos este hotel pela sua localização: perto do centro e da Recoleta. Ficamos num quarto de casal. A ducha e o wifi funcionavam bem. Limpeza todos os dias ok. A equipe é muito atenciosa. O café da manhã não estava incluído na diária e era bem simples. Era bem diferente do que mostravam as fotos no site. Creio que seria interessante se eles disponibilizassem taças e abridor de garrafas para os hóspedes.

En general todo bien. El check-in es un poco tarde creo yo.Es una lastima que no tengan estacionamiento, porque es una zona muy complicada para estacionar. Tampoco te dicen que el desayuno no está incluído. No tenían secador de pelo en el baño. Ubicación muy buena y los funcionarios muy amables.
