We are sorry that you considered our minibar management unsatisfactory, the setting of our minibar was chosen based on the size of the fridge which clearly does not allow the insertion of large quantities of drinks, however we provide 4 cans of water, 2 still water and 2 sparkling, 2 fruit soft drinks, 2 beers and 2 mini prosecco. During the check in tour we always inform and show our guests the water located in the common areas on each floor accessible free to all guests. In addition to the water in the common areas we provide sweets, marshmallows and a varied selection of herbal teas. We are sorry that you rated our roof negatively when it is normally very appreciated especially at sunset thanks to the spectacular view of Etna on the north-west side and sea view and cathedral on the east side, precisely because of the continuous eruptions and ashes we admit that it is a bit It is complicated to keep our rooftop absolutely flawless, the humidity you have seen is often caused by the continuous washing and watering of the plants that need continuous care during the hot season. We are really sorry to learn that Asmundo di Gisira did not meet your expectations and, above all, your needs as a traveler. Our structure is renowned for its predisposition and flexibility in welcoming different types of travelers. Asmundo di Gisira represents the perfect answer to the vacation’s needs or work in Sicily, especially for very active and dynamic travelers who choose Catania as a place to spend relaxing days between sea and mountains or as a main stop to reach various Sicilian tourist destinations. Regarding your arrival at the hotel, we would like to clarify that, although you arrived at 8.30 in the morning and despite our Check-in is scheduled for 14:30, you were given the opportunity to have the room immediately (an early check-in completely free). To this we added an upgrade (room of 3 higher level than the one you booked) also of course free of charge (behavior that reflects our structure policy). We are also sorry to hear your dissatisfaction with breakfast. Our breakfast is served starting from 8:00 in the morning, but we always have a tolerance margin on the time considering the specific requests of our guests and trying to meet their needs as much as possible, always in line with hotel dynamics. It seems strange for us that a tolerance of only 15 minutes was not accepted as you indicated. Only if the request is too early considering the normal breakfast time, we still guarantee the service by providing a breakfast box. This contains snacks that are easy to carry and consume as indicated during the delivery (water, juices, jams, snacks, brioches, crackers, chocolate ). Regarding, instead, your early check-out and your need to print your boarding passes, having postponed the confirmation of everything to a later moment, our reception has tried several times to contact you to ask you for the necessary informations on your request but you never answered any phone calls. Despite this, apologizing for the inconvenience created, you have been given the opportunity with very little notice (considering also that for the particular needs of the moment our reception is not active 24 hours a day but from 7.30 in the morning to 22.00 in the evening) to do the Check-Out at 6.45 am with the printing of the boarding passes. In light of this, we believe that everything was the result of misunderstandings and probably of an unclear communication also because our staff is renowned for the extreme availability and efficiency concerning the needs of our guests, a circumstance that can be seen from the many reviews about it. Following what you're writing for, we would like to clarify that we are located into an historical palace rebuilt in 1704, considering all the permissions we need for an historical place, we cannot change most part of the things outside the original historical structure of the palace. There is a gold sign outside the main entrance door illuminated and signposted with the name of Asmundo di Gisira, and there is an elevator, already reported several times during your stay and the same moment when you arrived, that it works as a freight elevator so just for bags and not for people inside it for security reasons, is not out of order as you wrote mistakenly, infact we unblocked you when you remained inside even if we explained you that was not for people and it is signaleted on each floor. We would like to let you know that the same day of the Check-In, we proposed you to change hotel at our expences for all the period of your stay of the same level and in the same area that satisfie all your requests with the same services and considering the obvious motor difficulty affecting you, you refused our proposal several times and you insisted on staying at Asmundo di Gisira . We also proposed you to stay into another room located for all the period of your stay with a free upgrade . We are located inside an historical palace from 1693 and rebuilt in 1704, due to all the permissions regarding all the historical palaces located into the city centre, we could not change most part of the main structure of the original building especially for signalations,just signs outside it at the main entrance door,the palace has got a freight elevator that work for luggages and other kind of goods. The Art room were you slept is equipped with modern furnishment and all the light system was made and created with each detail for the subject of this room represents,each room has got the personal and exclusive design concerning the legend it represents, infact this is our main concept which make Asmundo di Gisira different, in your case the sea and you can see all our Art rooms and all the pictures with the details before the booking . We are really sorry about what you wrote concerning the shower because generally to make the stay as more comfortable possible for all our guests, in case of this particular signalation if done before or during the stay, we could have intervened with proposing you another room with twin beds . All our rooms are equipped with minibar furnished with different kind of snacks and drinks, this services are are not included with the price of the room.
