"Our stay was 3 Nigts- rooms looked clean and we needed request to change the sheets these werw clean but some dark spots ( manchas) The water in the Jacuzzi was cold and the Water was not clear/clean. Swimming pool’s were clean and nice. Bathroom needs to have kleenex, body lotion and soap bar. Buffet restaurant food was good. Staff need improve their customer service skils. The beach is beutiful, We have a good time "

"Air conditioner in a room was so loud and was jumping in every 10 minutes. Horrible Wednesday dinner at la Pagoda restaurant shrimp with garlic sauce gave me food poisoning. Its Saturday and im still sick."

"We stayed 4 nights at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya and overall had a great experience. Transportation arranged through the resort was smooth and comfortable, and check-in was pleasant with champagne offered while we waited. Afterward, a golf cart took us to our room. The room was modern with nice built-in tech like Bluetooth speakers and electronic “Do Not Disturb” panels. Two small drawbacks were the smoke detector above the bed flashing all night and a very loud coffee machine. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed L’Olivo (Italian), La Hacienda (Mexican), and Mar y Tierra (steak & seafood). The breakfast buffet had great variety, Cafe Sisal was perfect for coffee and desserts, and the food trucks were great for lunch. Activities were a highlight - carbine shooting, Zumba, and pool games. Israel, Carlos, and Pablo from the entertainment team were fantastic. The property is beautiful and very clean, and seeing coatis and iguanas around the resort was a fun touch. The beach itself is beautiful, although we were unlucky with heavy seaweed during our stay so swimming wasn’t possible. The only real downside was the pool lounge situation. Guests reserve chairs very early (around 5 AM). When I moved unattended items after confirming with staff it was allowed, another guest threatened me. The resort should remind guests at check-in and clear chairs before the pool opens at 7 AM. Overall we had a great stay and would absolutely return to this resort."

"This resort IS TOO BIG. RIDICULOUS! You have to take a shuttle bus everywhere you go to get anywhere, insane food prices, jungala water park not included even though you're staying at Jungala?? Beautiful rooms, pools are pretty nice (but cold), but beach is rocky and not swimmable. Overall would not return. Staff are super nice but the size of the resort makes their job at trying to reserve stuff / restaurants/ communication near impossible. Just trying to do a load of laundry took an act of God. Never again."

"Secrets Maroma is an amazing resort. The staff is top knock and keep the place humming. Seamlessly setting up the various events and preparing delicious food. You feel like royalty having their help and kindness at any moment. The facilities, pool and beach are flawless, clean and new. Rooms are amazing. Swim out rooms look cool. After loads of research I chose this resort based on my price point and the best food. Secretes totally delivered. Spa was incredible. Be ready for the timeshare breakfast with extra free stuff. Dodge it if you value your time and mood. This place is world class. Stop researching and start relaxing. "

"SWINGERS hotel. My husband and I booked here for 7 nights, we only stayed 3 (we had to because of an all day tour that was booked on day 3), we would have checked out on day 2. While the views were STUNNING. We did enjoy the sounds of the ocean each night. We thought this would be perfect to relax. We saw a completely nude man by the pool and several women topless walking around. When we asked about it, they simply said that it was a swingers hotel. NOWHERE could I find that here on hotels.com OR even on the hotels main website. We did really enjoy 2 of their employees. Freddy and Ana were GREAT!! Our room was beautiful but lacking. When I asked for a refund for the 4 nights we were NOT staying there (we booked at an amazing resort nearby), they refused. They said we had to go to hotels.com for the refund. Hotels.com said they needed approval from the hotel. The hotel refused. I was forced to put in a claim with my bank. ALSO... the photos are BEAUTIFUL... the place looks like no one loves it. My husband wouldn't go in the pool because he almost cut his foot on broken tiles at the bottom (they were all over the pool), water pressure was HORRIBLE. Each shower was full of frustration. So many areas seemed broken, or just like the owners/managers simply didn't want to fix them. The elevator was also very old and uncared for. I had hoped this would be the perfect place to relax. We were left disappointed. FOOD was NOT good either. Drinks were ok. We DON'T RECOMMEND!!! "

"Beautiful grounds, friendly staff. Confusing and lengthy checkin. Regular “Royale” hotel guests are second class citizens here with respect to pool areas compared to club members or “Cassitas” room guests. The central “Royale” pool area is overcrowded while other restricted areas are under-utilized. The dining reservation system is dysfunctional. Food is OK, with highlights being the Mexican snd Mediterranean restsurants. The worst was the “Japanese” restsurant in Generations hotel—poor service bad food. The room was large but poorly msintained with a broken patio door lock. Room lighting was too dim for normal room activities, it was impossible to read in bed, the brightest light was in the closet. "
