"Always like staying at the Mount rooms Staff was very friendly and helpful. I think the rooms could be tidied up a little bit more and maybe some pictures on the wall but always a nice friendly stay. Train station 300m away straight into Cardiff central. Could walk straight onto Barry Island from the hotel in about 20 minutes and you’ve also got the lovely area of the cold knap pebble Beach close by."

"This is a very smart and well put together offering, away from the main house with it's own entrance and parking directly outside the door - perfect for when you arrive in torrential rain like we did - make sure you look out for the specific signs for the cottages. The self check in really helped when a problem with our car meant we were unlikely to arrive late into the evening, and the staff were very quick to respond when I messaged about arriving late with all the details I needed. However, I would love to give it 5* based on all of this, but the reality is I had the worse night's sleep I have had in a long time! The pillows are very deep and very firm, my husband sleeps with a firm pillow and even he thought they were too much and we had to get rid altogether. Then there is a bright green light directly above the door which spreads quite wide, and they also have a decorative window in the door which lets a lot of light in from outside - so bring an eye mask if you've already booked! Lots of tea bags but only standard black tea which I haven't seen for a long time, so I didn't have any as I only drink herbal or green. All in all this is a lovely place on the surface but in reality it didn't result in a good night's sleep before a long working day so we won't be returning."

"This hotel is well worth a visit if you want to chill out and relax. Set in beautiful surroundings with a great area to sit outside of bar or eat. All staff were very friendly and helpful, special mention to Ben serving on terrace in the evening. He’s an absolute credit to the hotel. I did not realise anything about this hotel when I booked it for business reasons in the area so I’m so glad I came across it. We definitely come back"

"The hotel was great, lovely interior and very friendly and helpful staff. Only issue there was no car park although I saw there was meant to be. There was a sign to a car park for the hotel but it was closed off and we were informed to park across the road and pay £24 for overnight parking at the back of a stadium. Had a wonderful stay other wise."

"The property had great views and rooms fantastic but a lack of hand rails if you have accessibility issues. To get from the upper level to the out side lower level meant a ramp that is to steep under health and safety regulations. The wifi was non existent in the 21st century and never connected over a 7 hour period which meant I could not check on train departures or on line check in for my flight. Which cost me an extra £25.00 at airport. Very poor for 21st century. The cost of staying here was not an issue for me being a wheelchair user but you pay for what you get. And think I didn't get value for money."
