Onyado Nono Kyotoshichijo Natural Hot Springs

"Absolutely loved this property! It’s a very unique experience with the hot springs and how you are able to walk around the hotel without shoes. The atmosphere of the hotel was also very relaxing and the rooms were very quiet. They have many amenities for guests such as massage chairs, coffee machine, and yakult/ice cream after hot spring baths. I recommend getting the additional breakfast buffet. They have such a variety of foods and even freshly fried tempura! I honestly didn’t even have to eat lunch during the day with how full I was from breakfast, haha. I will say, some of the amenities get really crowded towards the evening. Which is to be expected (especially traveling in the springtime), but it disappointed me a little. Felt like I had to fight to get a chance on the massage chairs or use the free washing machines. But it can’t be helped. It is a very popular hotel with foreign visitors. If you’re a bit more shy about the hot springs, I recommend waking up around 5 AM for a bath. Barely anyone there and it helps wake you up. Overall, I enjoyed this experience! If you’re ok with a bit busier of a hotel, then I definitely recommend. "

"A Return to Excellence: The Kyoto Brighton Hotel Experience In 2016, we had the pleasure of staying at the Kyoto Brighton Hotel, and our experience was so memorable that we chose to return in April 2024. Nestled in a serene residential area, the hotel is a stone’s throw away from the historic Kyoto Gosho and a myriad of quaint temples and shrines. Iconic landmarks such as Nijo-jo, Kinkaku-ji, and Ryoan-ji are just a short bus, subway, or taxi ride away. The hotel offers first-class hospitality and services at an incredibly reasonable price. The staff, always courteous, greeted us with warm smiles each time we returned to the hotel. Their personalized service was so exceptional that some staff members even remembered us by name, making us feel like their most valued guests. We have had the opportunity to stay at various high-end hotels in the past, including during our recent trip. However, the Kyoto Brighton Hotel stands out with its ability to provide the same level of luxury in terms of amenities, restaurants, rooms, and services. "Wow, just wow. I was traveling solo and enjoyed two nights at the Roku. I could write a novel about the joys and pleasures of my stay. From the service, to the spa, to the incredible property— true perfection. Would rate 10 stars if I could. The staff saw I was alone at dinner and brought over some books and reading material. The worst part, was leaving. Hope to return, truly memorable and special."

"Literally everything about this place has been absolutely amazing. We got the tatami floor room with a bath and a view. The room is huge, the bathtub is huge, and the futons are more comfortable than expected. The view is beautiful too! I go in and out a lot to smoke, so I like that the smoking section is close to the entrance. But every time I walk by the front desk I am greeted with nothing but happiness and smiles. I have felt sooooo welcome here. The private Onsen was super nice and clean too! The location is pretty far away from anything so be prepared to spend a lot on taxis. But I knew that coming here. I'm happy it's on the super outskirts of Kyoto. It's so quiet up here in the mountains compared to the center of the city. This was the perfect way to end our trip in Japan. There's also lots of temples within walking distance to see! They even held our luggage for us on the first day so we could explore. Then our luggage was waiting for us in the room when we walked in! The place has really good wifi too! It This was a definite 10/10."
