"Great location, clean throughout and good bar, restaurant and breakfast. Ideal for a short golfing break or countryside stay close to Derby."

"Great location, lovely room with excellent amenities"

"Spacious room, friendly staff and a nive pool/spa"

"Excellent location, Car parking available at £5 per night. All staff were very helpful and a well stocked bar."

"The staff were the best part of the hotel. Clearly someone is good at hiring. Physically, almost everything was a bit crooked and broken (including the door safety lock in our room, Ashover Suite). The Hamburger was disappointing at £18.50, given that it was clearly a frozen burger and cheap supermarket quality. The room was cold, and we could not figure out how to turn on the radiator, so i slept with my clothes on. The room was nice and grand, and i had a lovely hot bath in the morning. ...

"Really pleasant place to stay Reception staff very friendly and helpful. "

"Furniture in rooms very well kept. Carpets however, need a really good clean throughout. Breakfast was excellent and so tasty. Bar area really nice with different areas to sit. Lovely nights sleep and really powerful shower. Would recommend and stay here ourselves again"

"Excellent old place, good value and for us a great location. Such an interesting place"
