This is a fabulous resort in a beautiful, peaceful vineyard setting. The room was so lovely and offered everything we needed, including a wonderful gas fire for a cold winter’s night. The spa bath was heavenly (as was the heated floor in the bathroom) and the kitchen was well-equipped. We loved the calm, natural colours and the view over the lake and farmland. Love the 2-bedroom spa suite and it's amenities, especially the jacuzzi bathtub. Location is good. Cons: our room was on the second level hence have to carry the luggages up the stairs. Also, only one set of shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/body lotion provided even when there are four of us.Whoever needs more do remember to ask during work hours. Love the stay and highly recommend this place.

I was delighted to get a room upgrade when I checked-in, and was given a complementary bottle of milk to start the day. Kiara our host was very friendly and gave us food and tourist site recommendations. Room was on the 2nd floor and was spacious. It had a spa bath in the bathroom and from the window of the room I was able to see the cathedral (good view there). As the lodge is located along the main street, there is a petrol kiosk and a macdonalds within 5mins walking distance. Good food...

It's location makes it a great base to explore the Queenstown area. Lying just outside Arrowtown means easy access/choices for dinner. But dining options within the resort grounds are already very good. A short a scenic drive along Lake Hayes from Queenstown means we could still enjoy the surrounding lakes, though not from our room :). Our favorite accommodation for our 12 day South Island self drive trip. Beautiful, well maintained and landscaped grounds. Unreservedly a world class resort....

Highly recommended. Friendly and helpful team. The room looks over the lake and is well designed to make the most of the sunsets. Just note that it sits on a geothermal area, so you have a hot water springs and beach right in front. For winter, get the ground floor unit because it is like permanent underfloor heating! For summer, get a upper floor as it gets too warm at times on the ground.

Room is spacious for a cruise with full length glass panels. Shower and toilet are sizable too. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Captain is great and knowledgeable. Overall a very good experience.

The property is clearly not new but it has been impeccably kept through the years. The room shows barely any age and everything works as it should. Critical appliances such as the television have been updated to wide screen smart options that are par for the course. The room is more spacious than average and the view out the balcony is excellent. Quality bedding is used and precise temperature control via an ac unit provide an excellent night's sleep

Receptionist was friendly and helpful, and property was clean and cosy. Its a perfect stop before heading to christchurch airport, being a very short drive away!

Very clean and spacious room and bathrooms. Great comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff at the reception counter and restaurant. Special thanks to Gin (reception) who helped with dinner recommendation and reservation at Tutto Bene and Patrick at the restaurant who welcomed and looked after us during breakfast. If I visit Christchurch I will definitely return to Hotel Montreal.
