I had the best stay at Hostel Tommy - it is literally seconds away from Ikseon-dong Hanok Village (one of the coolest places as a visitor) and a 3-min walk from Jongno 3(sam)-ga Station, making it super convenient and accessible. There is a 7-eleven right next to the hostel which is such a plus. The vibe was so homey and cozy, I felt incredibly safe and taken care of as a female solo traveller. Very clean hotel , easy check in & Check out . Bed is so comfortable, centre of Myeongdong shopping area. Will come back again .

There is a short cut to the hotel. After Exit 3 from the subway tunnel, turn left after Starbucks. Walk through the car park of Yonsei University Building, cross the traffic crossing and you are almost there at the hotel.

Hotel whilst small, was superbly located. It is near the subway, near convenience stores (for the snacks/instant noodles/heat packs) and near different markets like dried goods market, a food street, a fashion street. Even have a simple buffet breakfast (cereals / pasta / porridge / coffee / fruit). Actually the ideal type of breakfast, where you do not have so much food that you stuff yourself and can't eat anything local after that. Just nice to get you started Staff can speak English...

It’s really conveniently located, just a 2-minute walk from the subway station (remember to take exit 10 or you’ll have to walk a huge round like we did on our first day). The room is cleaned daily (if you leave out the tag on the door). However, the sheets weren’t changed — it’s just a matter of making the bed. Cleaner also did not make the lower bunk bed, probably because it was clear the kids slept on the lower bunk bed. One negative: there are no blackout curtains.
