There are a number of street markets in Georgetown, like the early morning Lorong Kulit Flea Market and the Little Penang Street Market that takes place on the last Sunday of every month. Chinatown is great for traditional herbs, natural products and wholesale clothing, and Little India for saris, Indian handicrafts, spices and trinkets. Those who prefer to shop indoors for known label brands should go to Prangin Mall and 1st Avenue Shopping Mall, or take a bus or taxi to nearby Gurney Plaza.
