The Burlington Hotel

8/10 Good

"Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast is really good and the hotel is a firm favourite. Only downside this visit was no check on our room during this stay. I didn’t need towels replacing so hung them up instead of on the floor. But , no replenished clean cups and tea , coffee , milk, toilet paper, bins emptied etc."

"this hotel is in a great location, right on the seafront a couple of min walk from the pier and only a 5min walk from the town centre. the rooms are large, and well equipped with a table and chairs, dressing table, large double bed and wardrobe with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room also. the downside is that the hotel could really do with having some investment, while everything worked in the room it is dated and somethings in need of repair/upgrading. the shower curtain for example only covered 3/4 of the shower so the floor got wet when used. the shower holder was difficult to adjust and missing a cover. while these art major problems they are little things that drop it from a 4star to a 3star stay in my opinion. All that said for the price I would definitely stay here again."

New Wilmington Hotel

"The hotel had no air con, but fan was given on request. Staff polite and happy to help. Plumbing was questionable. Showers were adequate, but water pressure not good. Heard a couple of other guests complaining they had no cold water to fill a kettle, and no water for shower. Our bath was very slow in draining water, with water still in the bath the following day. Breakfast was good, however, dining places often missing salt, pepper and items of cutlery. Waiting staff seemed inexperienced, but was start of season, so am sure will get better. Location just off sea front and parking close to hotel using parking permits from hotel. Would stay there again"

The View Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Reception staff are amazing. I stay a lot at The View the staff don’t change and they get to know you. Breakfast staff the same always friendly with a smile. Breakfast is amazing. Bar staff are great. Bar food needs changing it hasn’t changed at all. So as a regular it gets boring. But lots to eat around. Gym is good too."
