Two nights stay. Our room was on the small size but adeguate and clean. Breakfast was good, very tasty croissants. Staff very helpful. Good position, walking distance to the centre and main touristic points.

Was a good stay. Rooms clean and comfortable. Only issue was we lost WIFI. They said it was due to the storm we had that night.

Nice hotel in a, quiet location at the end of town. You can get to everything from here on foot. Good directions on where to park, what to see and do. Very nice staff. It would have been helpful for the hotel to send WhatsApp directions on the best way to reach the hotel; we ended up in the middle of the cobblestone town trying to navigate through it. Instead there was a second easier way (all paved roads) to the hotel we found out when leaving.

Il Carmine was previously a religious building and I can only feel envy for its past occupants - a beautiful building with lovely cool rooms and shuttered windows. It’s in a great location with virtually no noise around the building. The restaurant is also lovely!

Very clean, comfortable beds, cold ac on the opposite side of town from the duomo. Easy to exit Erice. Hard to get to by car.

Amazing stay at IL Carmine
Superb hotel! Definitely recommended. Parking was super easy & right beside the hotel. Erice is a beautiful city so if you have the opportunity to get there, I highly recommended you go to Il Carmine

Very average but could easily improve
Interesting property being what i believe to be an ex-monastery. It’s still retains that feel. It was comfortable but I felt the service was below par. Breakfast was just about acceptable with bread, cake, a few slices of cheese and slivers of processed meat. It is well located within Erice. It wouldn’t take an awful lot of effort to see improvements at the hotel.

Geat hotel for Erice
Erice is lovely, hotel is well located and easy to find n park. If it had a safe and kettle and tea n coffee in the room it would be 10/10 for me. Many Italian hotels provide such facilities these days.

Room I made a reservation was bit smaller than I expected so I asked to change it to larger one but unfortunately all rooms were sold out on that day. Facility is clean and simple and staff was. Ery nice and did his best to accomodate us.

Best meal ever! Beautifully redone rooms
Convent beautifully redone into hotel. I had my best meal of our three week trip in Italy here! Customer service was excellent. Room and bathroom were ridiculously large even by American standards. Bathroom was like a spa with whirlpool tub.

We loved the hilltop village of Erice. It was like going back in time. And we especially loved our room overlooking the large courtyard at the old convent turned hotel. This small hotel had everything to meet our needs and we felt very comfortable and welcomed. While most restaurants were closed on Sunday night, we found a great cozy restaurant with wonderful food, as is the case is all of Scicily.

Charming hotel
Il Carmine has very competent and helpful staff. The location is ideal in a beautiful local town. You will need to walk up some steps/hill to get to the main area of the town. The parking area is closeby so perfect if you have a car. A nice comfortable stay in a beautiful location.

Romantic stay
We loved our stay in Erice. The hotel is lovely, very minimalistic but super comfortable. We arrived late afternoon to beautiful sunshine and enjoyed the fantastic views before the fog rolled in. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices for a buffet and good coffee. Free parking just across the piazza which was a plus for us. Lots of good restaurants to choose from for an evening meal.

A good place to stay.
The room is excellent! Such a small breakfast that it's a shame that it spoils the end of the hospitality.The guy at the reception did not know a word of English.

A lovely former monastery with style.
This hotel was actually a monastery. It is in a lovely city with much to admire and see. The service was excellent, the staff helpful and friendly and the place was immaculate and very quiet. I would highly, highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely accommodation with character +++
Lovely accommodation - full of character - in a beautiful village. Our room was great - huge, comfortable bed and deluxe bathroom. Wonderful breakfast! Location of the property was ideal - easy to walk to the centre of the town, which was beautiful, and had stunning views. Highly recommend - & would definitely stay there again!

Nice B&B on edge of Erice town, located in old monastery. Good breakfast options, room was clean, and wifi worked well. Check out was a bit impersonal but otherwise, a good option in Erice in a unique place. Information on hotels.com indicated they accept credit card, which is not true, as I was informed in a bit of a rude manner.

Beautiful former monastery in Erice
The hotel staff was very helpful. The facility was beautiful and tranquil. Rooms were large and could accommodate a family. Our room had a queen bed and bunk beds. Would consider a longer stay next time for relaxation and meditation. Breakfast was excellent.

Booked 4 nights and left after 1 night. Would have left immediately but had no options. This is NO WAY anything but a 2 star place to stay at. There was no hotel staff other than a t shirt dressed teenager to do nothing other than hand me my key. To park I had to take a 20 min walk to get a parking pass. When I asked about air conditioning, I was told "we don't provide that service". It was 90 degrees in the room. The TV was a 10" tube TV from 20 yrs ago that didn't work. The bed was a single mattress on a spring frame. The same as a college dorm room. The room smelled strongly of cleaning fluid when we arrived. As I said there was no staff, so I was forced to carry all luggage up 2 flights of steps with no help. Erice is fascinating and worth visiting, but I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

free parking outside. breadfast is very fresh and good service. the hotel is inside a monastary building with a large hallway. room is warm and comfortable. we were assigned a bathroom outside for our exclusive use. wifi is not so good inside the room, but just outside the room there is a sofa and wifi is ok there. will recommend this hotel.

Converted convent in Erice
THe converted convent, now a spacious and serene hotel, is not hard to find and there is a chance to park, which is not always the case in the very narrow streets of Erice. It has a lovely courtyard, whihc must be a bessing in the summer. The place is very clean and bright and calm - the rooms are large. The bathroom for our double room was spotless. The breakfast is buffet-style, but there is someone in the kitchen to cook eggs the way you want them. The coffee could be better, but the baked goods were excellent.

A home away from home
Il Carmine was a former Carmelite Monastery. The building is well looked after. We were there in February. The rooms were heated with hot water radiators, very comfortable. The staff were helpful and spoke English. We ate a wonderful breakfast. We were sorry we did not stay there longer.

We stayed (my partner and two young children under three) in Il Carmine for two nights in November 2013, in low season. Only eight rooms all leading of a large, atmospheric room. We were one of the few guests here, most of the rooms were empty, as was Erice itself. Calm, quiet vibe, rooms well equipped for a budget option, a chapel downstairs and decent breakfast. Can recommend the guest house without question.

Il Carmine è un edificio storico del 1400 molto bello. La camera Junior Suite da noi prenotata si presenta grande, spaziosa e silenziosa. Molto comodo il letto ma non altrettanto i cuscini. La pulizia è da attenzionare, c’era della polvere sui mobili e sotto il letto. Staff molto cortese ed accogliente. Buona la prima colazione offerta.
