"Very clean, modern, quiet, and well maintained appartments. There are no restaurants on the premises but there are many places to eat in the neighborhood. The west end is less touristy and has a more local feel which we appreciated after visiting old town. The staff was very nice and super responsive. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay."

"The location of this hotel was perfect for walking distance to many of the Edinburgh sites. It was easy to get to from the airport by taking the tram. The only thing I would have liked was a bigger room and view that wasn't overlooking the heating units and rooftops of other buildings. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was delightful, and I would definitely stay here again."

"Overall a disappointing experience. Only nice thing was the convenient location. When we arrived with 3 heavy bags, the lift to carry the bags up was broken. So we were forced to carry them up the stairs. We found that the sheets we slept on gave us itchy skin and receptionist told us the sheets are only replaced once every 4 days."

"Property is located at the bottom of castle hill. Very good location but a lot of steps up to get to the Royal Mile where the main attractions are located. Note that the hotel does not have AC in the rooms. However, they provide a fan that does help. My guess is that normally this is not a problem, however, during our visit, the UK was experiencing a heat wave! Enjoyed the pool tremendously! All in all, very satisfied with our stay 😀"

"It looks like Hilton is working to improve the property, which is good. A couple things to note: - lobby / entrance is beautiful, smells great. - fabulous drinks at the bar (Bravo, Ellie!). - Staff were lovely- truly great people, great customer service. - room cleaning staff were really great too! Very nice and helpful. - room was… ok. Step-in tub was uncomfortable (better placed grab bars please!), but the warming towel rack was nice. - small touches were missing in the room (no pen and paper in the suite from what we could tell) - breakfast as good! A few more fresh options would be nice (to balance out the decadent sausages, haggis, bacon, hash browns, etc) but overall really good. Main criticism- the spa needs a lot of TLC. Locker rooms weren’t well appointed (extra towels would be good). The steam room - a big draw after long flights and train rides - was actually a little gross. Someone had a bloody nose (or something) and it was smeared a little on the wall. Phlegm on floor (or so it seemed). This is really unacceptable, so hope they can address asap. They want to expand spa offerings, and I think there is potential (nice products!), but these details will matter if the goal is to compete with Four Seasons and Ritz for spa offerings!"
