"This is an absolutely great hotel and fabulous location!"

"We’ve stayed at the hotel previously overnight, which was fine. On this occasion, we stayed 4 days. Very few places to eat. As we had a late flight, close to midnight, I tried to get a late check out, to stay in the room. On different occasions I was told free until 2pm, second occasion 9000yen and the 3rd request 12000yen. When I requested an additional night I was told 359000 (which equates to $3000+ AUD). Another request brought it down to $300+ AUD. Perhaps something was lost in translation. The irony was that I could get the room from Expedia for $219. It was the inconsistency that I found frustrating. In the hotel’s defense, they store your luggage for free, which we did in the end, as our flight was close to 11pm at night. Cleaning staff were great, cleanliness was fabulous but I feel It’s more a hotel for transiting, as opposed to a base to explore Tokyo."

"The cleaning in my room was inconsistent. The area for putting my toiletries and tea items was limited. And I understand that my items were untidy. But most hotels still manage to clean up and tidy a guest’s belonging while maintaining a professional attitude and sense of security. Also the housekeeping staff was loud during their shift and were calling each other in the corridor. Not all stay guests leave the room, especially if they are staying overnight. More discrete conversations and attention to their volume of their voices should be considered. "

"Loved the location, close to everything especially the family mart directly downstairs. There's a super market close by and restaurants around everyone corner. The station is across the street and only 3 stops from Shibuya and 4 from Harajuku."

"The breakfast menu was very limited versus other Mitsui garden inns. No fresh fish, limited Japanese side dishes, only omelets with no option to get prepared other ways, etc. staff was not very friendly. I did not want to ask for help. Too grumpy. I would not buy breakfast next time. "

"Starting with the interesting animatronic dinosaur check-in, the experience was novel and easy to navigate. If you're coming in from a faraway place and are tired, take a moment, read slowly, and you'll be fine. The room was small but comfortable and conveniently appointed with a clothing freshener and press appliance. Delicious breakfast and nice staff, many of whom spoke English well. Easy to get to shops around like 7-11 and pharmacy, plus others we didn't go to as we stayed only for one night. The hotel had vending machines with delicious-looking hot foods that we didn't get a chance to use. The free baggage storage was also really thoughtful and convenient. Overall, would recommend for an easy, comfortable stay."
