"Asante Inn is a charming guest house with very helpful staff. The Inn has a beautiful Japanese garden. There is a very peaceful area for sitting dining/drinking tea overlooking the garden. For extra fee the Inn has breakfast and dinner. It also has 2 private onsens the guests can reserve. The bedroom we stayed at was Japanese style, we slept on the floor. "We stayed here for two nights in one of the small double pods (up the ladder). It was a bigger space than we expected and quite comfortable. The walls are understandably thin, so be prepared to hear people in the rooms around and below you. There are earplugs provided, which is helpful. The staff were all lovely and we really enjoyed our dinner around the fire! We also walked to a nearby onsen and found the location to be very convenient for exploring Hakone. Would definitely recommend! "

Both our evening meal (vegan curry and beef with rice dish) and the breakfast were delicious. We felt our stay was very good value. The twin room was huge. The area of Gora was again relaxing with both Gora park and the Open air museum within walking distance. "
