Friendly staff. I think the only con is that you have to take the lift to the first floor to access the showers. The narrow street right outside the hostel is very quiet at night.

Incredibly clean little hostel - rooms were basic, but spacious, toilets and bathrooms were always spotless and staff were lovely. Locationwise it wasn't necessarily right on the doorstep of anything, but if you're OK with walking and exploring on foot, Kyoto's on a block system, so relatively easy to navigate compared to other cities we'd been to and so the markets, Geisha district, the river, etc. were OK to reach with longer walks and there's also a bike rental shop a street away to help...

The hotel was OK. Be warned that you'll have to put on your own mattress and pillow covers. The breakfast in the café downstairs, however, was to die for. Get the point breakfast with a coffee, you will certainly be happy you did.

If there’s space, book this place, you will love it! Traveling with a family of 5 we booked a private room for 4 nights. Room was clean and spacious. The place is located one step away from the train station and the beautiful historical district of Gion, super close to the action but still located in a quiet street. Location is so great that we even saw Geishas on the very first day whilst walking around. There’s a convenience store across the street and is walking distance from restaurants and...

The room is larger than it looks on the photo. Our family of 4 has a lot of space to move about and even a living room /dining area. The location is walkable distance from Kyoto Station but do prepare a walk for a bit, but it's also quiet, good for resting after a day of touring /shopping.

Good stay! The bar on level one was really good and the bartenders were so friendly! Only thing was that the aircon can be uneven throughout the room as it was right above me (upper bunk) so while I was cold, my other roommates further away could feel warm. Toilets were clean and the lounge on level 2 was a great place to hang out or do work!
