"really nice place, in the countryside but near to all attractions! with locally hired scooters can get around the whole island in a short time! the owners are wonderful people ready to help you for anything! very clean rooms (every day changed towels and sheets)! if you are looking for a quiet place to relax you've found it! "1. Difficult during registration - need to wait nearly 30 min before the owner came to open the room. 2. Hard to find - the signage is too blurry and difficult to read 3. A lot of ants in the bed even though we clean it up. Really discomfort. 4. No soap provided. However, after making the complaint, they sent it in 15 min. 5. Quite far from city centre and nothing at the surrounding 6. Be careful of speedy car, truck etc. Quite a busy road to cross. 7. This is not hotel. Pls dont list this...

"My wife and I travelled around south-east Asia for 3 weeks and spent 6 nights here and it was by far our favourite resort of the trip. The staff and amenities are amazing and the restaurants had so many options that I feel like a could have stayed another week and still not have tried everything. The quality of the food and drinks was exceptional across the board. The beach is private to the resort and many of the rooms are located right in the forest where there is an abundance of wild life. It was extremely common to see monkeys, monitor lizards, and exotic birds along with a long list of other wild life native to the island. They also provided a long list of complimentary services, one of which was a guided nature walk through the forested portion of the resort with a wild life biologist that happens multiple times a week. Food and cocktails are all reasonably priced and our room came with a 150RM/person dinner voucher that usually would cover a multiple course dinner with several drinks. We splurged a little on food and drinks but between the complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea mini buffet and the dinner voucher we easily could have eaten extremely well without paying. This genuinely deserves the title of being called a 5-star resort. I would highly recommend anyone going to Langkawi to come and stay at the Berjaya."

"The Danna is a small(ish) hotel that trades on its beachfront location and luxurious rooms. We were very happy there during our five night stay. Each of the three restaurants offers decent food and generous portions. The pool area is comfortable, although some maintenance may be required soon. All the staff are lovely. It’s a fine place either to do nothing or to go birdwatching or kayaking. Given the quality of the product the price is more than reasonable. My only criticism is that there needs to be a separate pool area for kids - otherwise the adults who just want to relax will find their day disrupted."

"The sea view was great and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, there were a few things to take note of. The power points on the balcony didn’t work, so we had to check around the apartment to find out which ones were working. No toothbrushes were provided initially. They only provided them after we requested, so it’s better to bring your own toiletries. For food, I would recommend grabbing food from outside as it’s much cheaper. Only one restaurant at the resort was open during our stay, and the prices were quite expensive. There are some shops outside, but the choices are limited. There are also 24/7 shops nearby, which are convenient for emergency purchases. Breakfast was fair—not too bad, but nothing special. Room cleaning could also be improved. The cleaning was quite basic, and the restroom wasn’t properly cleaned. Also, do check whether the balcony has been cleaned, as ours wasn’t cleaned until we specifically asked them to do it. One good thing is that Parade Mall is right beside the resort. It has a supermarket, money changers, and baby shops, which was very convenient for us."
