"So overall this hotel was an excellent option. My room had a great view, especially at night with the city lights against the mountainsides. The lock on the door, although it did lock, was a bit difficult and frustrating. However, Kandy City stay does get high marks for staff and their local tours. The hotel’s (mainly elephant park) was excellent and very economical. "

"The Sevana doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside is spacious with lots of public seating areas and great views from the rooftop. We stayed here on two separate occasions and both times it was very good. Rooms are comfortable, staff are helpful. There’s a filtered water fountain with reusable glass bottles you can take to your room. The hotel organised a car and driver for us; both the car and the driver were very good, which is not always the case in Sri Lanka. There’s not many good eating options nearby, but we did find a good little restaurant across the road which did excellent dosas. It’s easy to get a tuk tuk to wherever you want to go. "

"The staff were so kind and could not do enough for us. A lovely welcome drink of fresh juice. Amazing views from the dining room and pool area. Buffet breakfast was substantial and international. If you are driving, the hotel is at the top of a hill and the roads are challenging. Would definitely recommend the hotel."

"The host did everything he could to make our stay pleasent. We had s varied breakfast trying out local products. The garden is very beautiful. We had a wonderful terrace overlooking the hills and a small outdoor kitchen. "

"The property location and gardens stunning amongst the hills, but 4-5km from town. Rooms were really lovely and most staff friendly. However for the price of the property and what they offer leaves a lot to be desired. Thought the buffet was just very average, service on drinks very slow( or they’d even forget) One bottle of water in your room and if you wanted anymore you had to purchase. In your room was only a couple of tea bags and coffee, when we asked for some Green or Herbal tea, we were told they didn’t offer that. In comparison to other properties and for similar or less price was pretty average "
