"Our room was small, but clean and efficient. Being across the street from Haymarket station was great. That gave us easy access to the royal mile and the castle without having to deal with the higher traffic and prices. There was a lot of nighttime street noise from the station and the street cars outside, but not terrible, and thatโ€™s us having a street side room. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, free tea and coffee were available. Thereโ€™s only 2 elevators, so it got very crowded during check in. Overall it was a nice stay."

"Everything from the beginning of our stay was amazing. Archie at the front desk is an asset to your company and deserves a large raise. We are from the United States and never felt more welcome from the minute we stepped in this hotel. I'm pretty sure It had to do with Archie at the front desk his personality and love for his job made our stay one of the best. As for a woman at the front desk was not nice to my husband one of the days we were there. We are here in Scotland for another 4 weeks and hope to meet more people like Archie. His knowledge of where to go what to do and what to see was perfect. I must add the room was clean , big & the view was absolutely amazing as we had a room with a balcony. We would like to Thank Archie for an amazing reception. Claudette & John"
