Beautiful beachfront location
Room was clean and tidy, very basic accomadations. Could not provide second key, so limited ability to leave room individually as power would shut down. Breakfast was a buffet style with most dishes cold, although they should have been hot (chicken fried rice, etc.). Eggs were provided and cooked to order.

Our bungalow was amazing,beach ocean view totally beautiful. The staff we’re really helpful as my husband was on crutches they couldn’t do enough for us.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Both rooms we stayed in were clean and well stocked with amenities. Room size was good, however really enjoyed the superior room size! Pool was excellent great size and plenty of lounge chairs for guest! Wonderful location on a beautiful beach! Over all fabulous!

Cottage on Klung Dao
Lovely setting, very nice pool. Helpful staff breakfast could be improved but sufficed. Our cottage was near the beach but also near the restaurant which played music we didn’t like too loud even when there was no-one around. Very irritating.

This place was probably the best hotel for the money we paid on this staff tech of beach. The breakfast was more than enough and the place was clean. The pool looked knew and the beach is beautiful!! We think that the pool chairs could have new mats on them or at least be cleaned each day. All in all we were happy with this stay!!!

Nice resort
We had a lovely room right on the Ocean. The room.was huge...too big for two people but it was nice to have the space. Resort was clean but the beach was not. I would not recommend Koh Lanta during low season, it was too quiet. Our air conditioning broke which staff attempted to fix but room was too got to sleep in. If you aren't worried about mosquitos sleep with the doors open for a nice breeze.

Good property for families w/ small kids
Very convenient to the pier and the beach, plus a decent breakfast. It is more of a family property, though, with lots of small kids splashing in the pool, and couples strolling around. Less appropriate for solo travelers.

fantastic hotel
This hotel was lovely. Right in the beach. Great pool and restaurant. Can't beat the price. We were very pleasantly surprised with this place. We stayed for 6 nights wish it had been longer.

Unlucky 13...!
Unfortunately had bad weather so spent lots of time in room. Some English language TV channels, nice bed and clean. Good size room with big bathroom. Pool was clean but chlorine was so strong. Had room No. 13. Noisy during the night from staffroom nearby. Overall happy with room and facilities. Beach was filthy.

Very very great experience
Service is good, location is good(on the beach and the ocean is really nice to swim in), room is clean with all utilities, breakfast is tasty, and the rate is great. Everything is perfect, except it is a little bit far from the Walking Street where there were lots of seafood restaurants, it took us around 30 mins of walk, a tuktuk cost 50B per person for one way. Overall it was a very very great experience! Highly recommended!

A true paradise location
You can hardly live closer to a beautiful beach than in Golden Bay Cottages. Beautiful and convenient location, just near a 2, maybe even 3 km beach where you can walk, run, swim, drink, eat and whatever else you want to do in your time for beach relaxation. About 400 m from the hotel is the main road of the island, where you'll find lots of shops, restaurants, massage studios, exchange shops, etc. The cottages are quite convenient, new, well maintained and a pleasure to live in. My only concern was the rather hard bed - but that's a matter of taste after all. Breakfast is not something to remember forever, but it's quite decent - especially as a free add-on to a nice low season price. Wifi is OK, even though sometimes it's quite slow - but I guess this is a matter of the island infrastructure. It's always a good idea to have a Thai SIM with lots of internet in it - at least for backup, or when you need faster speeds. And my only complaint for the whole stay, was from the first 5 minutes, then they tried to give me a deluxe bungalow instead of the twice more expensive sea view villa that I had booked. Fortunately, while still searching in my phone for the proof that this is not what I ordered, they knocked on my window and told me my villa would be ready in 10 minutes. Which doesn't mean that if I didn't argue, I wouldn't be left in the cheaper room, just paying double for that.

I've been traveling around Thailand for about 3 weeks and staying in similar and slightly cheaper places around 600 baht to my surprise they had a free breakfast buffet which sounded nice to me it was nice but was a set breakfast. This wasn't a big deal and totally fine ( wish they would of let me use my breakfast voucher at 11 after the 7-10 times but I also understood. The first room I got had no wifi and I got another room no big deal. The second room had no hot water and by far the annoying construction work like two feet from my bed going on all day (I went out on an scooter all day so it was not a big deal) and then waking me up 9. I would love to say they did a great job resolving this issue to my happy delight a couple of the nice younger workers were try to help and they recommend since the rooms they had tried to move us to were either a construction zone or didn't have wifi and already irritated with the noise of the jack hammers waking us up thought they should up grade us to a area that would met the relaxing atmosphere and the amenities they said they would provide. As they then ask led I could assume was there supervisor the only older lady working their who said no.which was fine I didn't expect that but would of been a nice treat after the ride awaking on the end of my vacation. The lady refused to give any discount for the unconvince and sent us on our way to another new room. I owner would teach better consumer service to the older lady. It's been annoying

Friendly check in, stayed in two different rooms (one superior room and one a bungalow) both were excellent - and very clean. Quiet family friendly surrounding, Well kept garden with sunbeds and pool. Generous breakfast. Close to SalaDan town - a tuk tuk cost 100 baht, but definitely possible to walk to town as well.

Nice, clean, safe on a perfect location. Adequate breakfast with fresh fruits, cereals, freshly made eggs. The location is really amazing. In the middle of the best beach in ko lanta. Lots of families around but we were not really bothered, was very peaceful and relax. The only negative thing is that the room was very spartan , just an open closet for your clothes, but no drawers or cabinet . Bathroom, one shelf for all your toiletries.... obviously not enough. And another thing - the bed is sooo uncomfortable! It is just a rock. The mattress is so hard that you actually feel like you're sleeping on the floor. We were complaining about it and they added an extra mattress to soften a bit the hard original mattress. We were staying in a superior room (room13) which was literally 5 steps from the beach. Well worth the money and I would recommend booking a superior or deluxe bungalows because of their location and the way these rooms are furnished which is practically new.

Great Stay!
The hotel has a great location, near city center and with direct access to the beach. The rooms are spacious, newly decorated and comfortable. And staff is just wonderful, kind and attentive. The on site restaurant is also really good. Highly recommend!

Hotel close to the beach
This place is suitable to who is travel with kids. All is good to us and beach is at in front of the hotel. The room is quite clean but the only things to make us disappointed on this travel is we booked the Superior bang low which is infront of the pool but the hotel staff said is full already so give us free upgrade to a deluxe room . But we are purposely booked the room infront pool and booked early about a month before but they didn't keep us the room. This is the only disappointed things for us! Hope the hotel management can improve this problem.

Golden Bay Lanta
Stayed in the low season and got some rain which was expected. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day. It's right on the best beach and there is a good pool even if it's a limited number of sunbeds. The restaurant food was good although we mostly ate out. Breakfast is included and had a fair but limited range which was the same every day but most of us eat the same thing for breakfast anyway! It is about 500 metres up a single track road to the main road in Lanta. You would need transport or taxi to get into Saladan or anywhere else really. The staff were really friendly and I would recommend this hotel very much.

The living was ok but most staff were not as nice and helpful as normal Thai people. Too many Swedes with children. Just few sunbeds by the beach and no shadow if you didn't want to stay by the pool with all children and screaming parents. Very dark after 10pm needed a torch to find your bungalow. Cleaninglady did a good work and was nice.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Location is handy - a few minutes from the pier by taxi and right on the beach. Room was good although bathroom could do with renovating - it's a wet room set up so once the shower is used the whole place is soaking. Breakfast was fine. Staff very helpful.

overall this was a great stay. amazing beach right out your door. good restaurants close by. nice pool. great for the money. Room was a little dated... but for the price, what can you expect? breakfast was so-so. motorbike rentals from the hotel were easy and cheap.

Stayed here for 21 nights feb/march in a standard room only just adequate for 2 cleaned everyday ok.only one socket for charging pc/electricals.so you end up unplugging the tv and fridge for anything more to charge.no hooks or anything to hang your clothes in the bathroom went out and bought some ourselves.restaurant very good.nice pool.around 12 chairs and sunbeds by the beach with no parasols so very little shade no one on them between 12-3 to hot would not cost the hotel much to provide parasols for their guests.nice beach,with most of the time clear warm waters.lovely staff.overall ok but could be much better with a few improvements.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Golden Bay Resort. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Room was clean and everything worked fine. Only one day the internet was out, I think cause of the rain storm they had the previous night. Breakfast was fantastic and the resort is RIGHT on the beach.
