This is a well run contemporary hotel and we enjoyed every aspect of it. Everything needed was elegantly and simply provided, nothing fussy, attentive staff, great position.

This hotel was decent but very bare bones. The room and bathroom are tiny. The beds are very hard and they give you one pillow. They don’t clean your room other than to empty the garbage and give new towels (only one per person). The hall and elevator area need a good vacuum. It was okay but probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Amazing stay!
Extremely good value for money. Lovely rooms, great amenities, wonderful staff. Overall a great hotel and stay. Convenience store attached to the hotel. Would definitely recommend and return!

Location is good, 3 mins walk to train station and bus is accessible to main tourist area. The shower is strong with massage points. Size of room is ok compared to Japanese standard room. We were eligible for one time service over 6 nights stay, service is fine but not detailed. We lost our laundry bag due to staff picked up with dirty towel. But staff did not speak English, unable to get it back. Bed and pillow are hard not comfortable. Short stay is ok, May not choose for long stay. Currently the restaurant is not closed too.

The room was a little small but the hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a washer/dryer on site that includes detergent in the price. Easy access to public transportation and a 7 eleven just outside was very convenient.

Not a good choice gor Kyoto
The hotel doesn’t provide you housekeeping which is very inconvenient if you are staying more than 2 days as you will need to dedicate some time to clean your room. They only provide you with clean towels that by the way are small and not of good quality. Don’t loose your key. To replace it you will have to pay USD 20. Check out is at 10 am. Really???

Nice location. Easy access to everything by city bus. Ten minute walk to bike rental shop. Hotel staff helped me make restaurant reservations by phone. Generous with towels. 7-Eleven next door with an ATM. First time to Kyoto by train? Skip taxi, use bus 9 or 28, hotel at Shiju & Hirokawa.

This was my first time visiting Japan and I'm glad I chose this hotel. The staff was both polite, helpful and English friendly which was a huge plus. Room was great, bed was firm, breakfast selection was wonderful. I would definitely choose to stay here again during future visits.

7-11 available just outside, close to buses and trains . Many restaurants nearby. Twin room on the small side but clean with air conditioning and a laundry room on second floor. There is also a room on second floor where you can meet with others, microwave, hot water, coffee and plenty of seating.

Location is convenient to visit sites by bus or metro. A bit far away from jr station. We took Uber which was abt $13 to get to and from hotel, There is a coffee machine in the lobby area offers pretty good coffee, as a matter of fact, better than the other hotels we stayed in Japan.

Well situated hotel
The hotel room was ok. Well situated and the staff was nice. The lounge area is only open from 11h to around 22h. It doesn’t have much to offer. The laundry area lacks machines.

From the moment i walked in the reception was really welcoming and warm. The only problem i had was with the 400 yen accommodation tax, not really a massive problem as it was next to nothing but surely i paid for that when i purchased the room no? As for for room had everything you needed decent size and shower was excellent one minor thing was a couple of small stains on carpet but considering the low price, room was a steal. Overall great, id stay again for sure

This is not a destination, it is a comfortable base to explore Kyoto. THERE IS NO Breakfast, restaurants, onsens and all those lovely Japanese perks. But if you have a JR pass, the JR bus from the station passes a few short blocks away and you are on a street worth walking to the end of it. Many things are close by and most of the rest accessible with the JR pass.

I would definitely stay at this location again! The service and cleanliness was impeccable. It is at a major cross street, which makes catching local bus and taxis very convenient. It’s close and convenient to get to many of Kyoto’s sites!
