Great location for exploring Kyoto and its surrounding - 10/20 mins walk to local attractions and 2 mins to the subway station. Add clean rooms, helpful stuff and good breakfast and you have a perfect base.

Nice room with a little table and 2 chairs (compact as everywhere in Japan), nice thermal bath (not mineral waters). Convenient amenities like vending machine, communal microwave, coin laundry machines (they should exist in every hotel in the world!) and a coffee and drinks dispenser. I would have been better to have breakfast included since there aren’t any restaurants or cafes close by. Convenient location for day trips, by a metro station and within walking distance (even if a bit long) to Kyoto train station

The hotel's location was great for exploring a lot on foot. It's also within easy walking distance from the main train station. Apart from that, the staff were very friendly, and the hotel grounds were well-maintained and clean.

We had a great stay at the Vessel Hotel Campana Kyoto Gojo. The hotel is conveniently located close to Gojo train station and there were plenty of restaurants and a convenience store nearby. The public bath was lovely and we enjoyed the breakfast that had allergens clearly labelled. The staff were friendly and efficient. We would definitely stay again.

Great stay

I noticed some thoughtful touches in this hotel, including water pitchers available for use and free refreshments in the lobby. The breakfast is delicious and full of variety. I found the hotel to be very convenient to bus stops and is steps away from the subway station. I would definitely consider this hotel again if I return to Kyoto!

Great Onsen, adequate hotel

Onsen is a major perk. Breakfast had lots of options. Next to train station. Took a long time to walk most places we wanted to go. Pillows are not comfortable. Good laundry facilities. Felt safe.

Everything was good although they didn't clean rooms unless requested at the front desk. The hotel is one subway station away from Kyoto Station and 15 minutes away from Gion which made transport decently convenient.

The ONLY positive for the property is that it’s located near to a station. Our checking was unique and horrible, they gave pillow, blankets, bedsheets and towels to carry with us to our room. They even said that they wouldn’t do any room service. I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
