Independent, Launceston Tamar and the North hotels

My husband and I absolutely loved how modern and clean the room was. The hosts also provided us with simple breakfast in the fridge, along with butter, cereal and jam.

Friendly welcome by Sam at reception, and we loved our Pademelon wood fire cabin! Perfect for the chilly weather and to meet our friendly residents - pademelon mum and baby, the rowdy pied currawong couple, hungry echidna and a very persistent brushtail possum who tried to push his way into the cabin when we wanted to get a log for our fire. The vintage DVDs were god-send - thank you. We managed to beat the crowd and avoid the shuttle by heading into the park early - but remember to display...

Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Very comfortable stay in a beautifully design and well furnished room. My only reggret is not staying here longer than our 1 night!

I stayed in Woolmers Estate on the first and last day of my trip to Tasmania, which was close to Launceston Airport. On the last day of my stay in Woolmers Estate, there was a market on site, so it is interesting to look at the different wares brought by various vendors. Overall a great experience with a comfortable stay.

The facilities in the honeymoon suite Tom Thumb room were fantastic with couple jacuzzi , leather recliners, full range kitchenette etc It's just opposite Woolworths so easy to buy groceries Maureen and Raj were very welcoming too

Room: Chalet (Sea Facing) The only reason why I took this room and hotel is to catch the sunrise. Many reviews have said that it was simply amazing. Even the lady at the recep whose running the place, Lisa, says to catch it and even told me when to expect it. It was already night when I reached after a long drive from Hobart then Richmond and pleasantly surprised Lisa said they have kept the heater on for me so that it would be warm in the room. We were assigned a parking lot to each chalet...

Happy with the facility and the service. The only drawback is the additional bed provided - the rollaway bed has sunk so deeply in the middle, I couldn't imagine anyone being able to have a good sleep in it!
