"Overall, I had a great experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Liverpool. I booked this hotel specifically because it was attached to the spa, and it was exactly what I needed after traveling. The room was very comfortable and spacious, with a large bathroom, great water pressure, and a beautiful view of what I believe was the clock tower. The air conditioning could have been stronger, but it was sufficient. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, and the warm welcome cookie was very appreciated after a long train journey. The spa was the highlight of my stay. The receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful, and immediately made me feel relaxed and taken care of. I did not book treatments, but I purchased a day pass and spent about three hours there. The pool is large and a refreshing temperature, with plenty of lounge chairs. The hot tub is excellent, with strong jets and even a place to lie down and enjoy the massage jets. The steam room and sauna were also great. Everything felt clean, safe, and well maintained. One note: the darker, atmospheric photos with wood and leather-tufted couches seem to show a specific part of the property, such as the bar or library. The hotel and rooms themselves have more of a clean, contemporary Hilton feel. Great location, close to the historic part of Liverpool and walkable from the train station. I would definitely recommend it and happily stay again."
