"Lovely friendly check in, and an early check in as we were just going to leave our bags but our room was ready. Location of the hotel is great, about 15 mins walk from Kings Cross in one direction and the same to Covent Garden in another. Like a lot of London hotels there is no aircon in the rooms, unfortunately it was 36 degrees the day we arrived, they did send maintenance up to release the safety catches on our windows, which was a nice touch, even though it didn't make a lot of difference. Room was compact but well spec'd, bathroom was tired, a small bath (why not just put a shower) grout/mastik needed some TLC. The worst thing for me was the shower curtain, thought at first it was the narrow bath, then thought it was because it was a single curtain (not double to help stop it sticking) but actually all it came down to was the shower curtain rail had been mounted really badly, it was impossible to shower without it sticking to you. Shower was off the bath taps, so a micron of a turn meant boiling or freezing. There is aircon in the lobby and a water chiller, so we spent some time there cooling off. Lifts are small (4 people max) and slow. I would stay in this area again, but possibly not at this hotel, although the staff were really friendly and helpful."

"Our room door closed and unable to open using our key. It happened for 3 times unfortunately staff responded very slowly and their reaction showed as normal, we thought it not a sudden problem they heard complaints many times 🙃,, the manager (male staff in reception)also very calm and replying to all pls don’t raise your voice it’s seems very unfair. Not only for us, neighbours 3 or 4 people also faced and our relatives who stayed in 3rd floor faced this problem 🤔 To all reply was don’t raise your voice 🙃 We wasted more than 15 minutes bcz of this incident"

"We checked in and were helped by Breeze who really took the time to engage with our children and also find us a room before 3pm. She did and managed to give us a complimentary upgrade to a suite overlooking the Thames. The kids were also given goodie bags, the process was quick, smooth and not a stress. The room and breakfast were excellent as was the games room set up for the summer holidays."
