Authentic Ryokans In Matsumoto

"The perfect Ryokan! I will return! "

"I came with little expectations, but was really pleased with this hotel. The outdoor onsen is really nice. The corridor is a bit noisy when someone walks by. Some dust and spider webs in the top shelfs but nothing really bad"

"A wonderful place! Exactly the atmosphere we were looking for."

"Room, staff and food are exceptional. "

"Great stay and this wonderful cosy inn. Has a wonderful relaxed retro feel. My family of four loved it. The food is incredible, definitely get the dinner!"

"Lovely character of this Traditional Japanese Guest House. "

"A really old-fashioned Japanese onsen experience like nothing else. We ate in the Japanese restaurant one night and French the other evening. The food was fantastic. Rooms were comfortable but old fashioned. I would highly recommend the room with a private onsen - we saw tanuke (Japanese raccoon dogs) approach whilst we were bathing which was a really special experience. We hiked to the ridge (5 hours return) through a beautiful forest."

"部屋は綺麗ではあったが、朝食の炊飯器の中に虫が2匹も入ってて。。。 もう少し、配慮すべきだと思った。"

"お風呂がとても素敵で満喫しました。 眺めのいいお部屋でしたが雨で残念でした。"

"The staff was very helpful, I could leave my luggage at reception and they took it up to my room so it was ready for me when I checked in. There are four different baths public baths: main bath;outdoor bath, and two smaller ones which had different herbs in them. Breakfast was also very good. Location is convenient for the train station and the lake. Overall enjoyable stay."

"We lived our stay at this very authentic ryokan like hotel. The staff were generous and kind, we were able to book the private onsen for a very reasonable price to accommodate our tattoos and our family going together. The half board was delicious. This is not a luxury stay so much as a real Japanese cultural experience and we had a great time as a family of four USA folk with teens."

"Staffs are very friendly. Food is a bit pricy but the quality is beyond excellent. "
