"My husband and myself were happy with our stay but were surprised that both bathrooms were designed for disabled guests when they were not requested. The showers, in particular, were difficult. Also, neither of us were able to have our first choice on the evening menu. However, all the staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful. "

"We had a 2 night stay, though wanted to stay longer. The Compton House was lovely. We explored the grounds and loved the garden seating area. Patricia was very welcoming and made us feel at home. She was soo accommodating. We had access to the rest of the house which was like being in Bridgerton.
Room was clean and cosy. Homemade fruit compote for breakfast with breakfast made to order. Great selection of fruit, yogurt and teas.
Very well located for visiting Cheddar, Axbridge and Wells.

"Perfect central location to visit Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, the seaside and Bath. The accommodation was extremely well maintained and presented.
A quiet location situated within a riding school, so perfect for those with an interest in horses but not affected by it being a working stable. The kitchen was particularly well equipped with good quality pots, pans and crockery and the host even provided washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, milk and even cake!
