Good location in China town. There is a shelter for unhoused people nearby that if you aren't used to a big city could be off putting. The location is great though and perfectly safe.

Located in a rough area which made it uncomfortable coming and going. There were Only 3 coffee pods for the nespresso machine. Only 3 hangars on the clothes rack. Area rugs curled up causing tripping hazard. Unfortunately we didn’t feel good here.

Honestly great experience !! The kitchen, living space and bedroom option was great for our bigger group. We were able to cook and not est out during our entire stay and had plenty of room. The in and out was easy, location was perfect. We are definitely staying here again in the future.

Beautiful space for an affordable rate. We had a wonderful time at Bakan. It was a spacious and stylish place to stay with historical charm. Affordable parking is a bit of a walk however the benefits outweighed this for us. We hope to return!

This should not be listed on Expedia. There is no front desk...just a chair in a hallway where I'm sure nobody has ever sat. I had to call a number several times before reaching someone to request a refund due to the misrepresentation of the building and the room (smelled of urine and smoke) and I was told that some had just inspected the room and it was perfectly fine. I was in the the room the entire time and nobody came to inspect - I was outright lied to. The terrible customer service was unbelievable. I stayed elsewhere and I suspect I will never get my money back because this is a scam.

I really enjoyed my time at Bakan Palais de congrès. ITS exactly as shown in the photos. Employees were very nice and respectful. There was damage on the floor close to the bathroom but someone came in to check it so it was recent. So they do take action which is nice to see.

The area outside had some sketchy people, but not bad overall. China town is very close by, a couple of blocks away. Also, it's not far to other areas as well, such as the Old Port.
