Market Street Hotel is a definite go-to if I visit Edinburgh again. It's clean and modern. I was first assigned a bigger room (Roomy) but it had a small window that looked out onto another building with no view of the sky at all. Wonderful experience. While the facilities at the premises were minimal, the spacious room, friendly staff and within walking distance to restaurants, more than made up for it. We drove to Edinburgh, so car parking facility was extremely useful.

Fantastic experience and most friendliest hotel staff I met recently. Breakfast is amazing as well. Located conveniently closer to the Edinburgh Railway Station and walkable distance to the Royal Mile and other attractions. Must stay if you are after a relaxing stay.

We really loved our stay at The Rutland. We had a 2 bed-room apartment in the basement with kitchen facilities. The place was very spacious & clean. As the location is excellent, with many places to eat around it, we didn’t use the cooking facilities at all. The staff were also extremely helpful with our luggage - there are no lifts in the apartment so we had to lug everything down a flight of stairs but we had help from the staff who were all very strong ladies.
