"The room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
The proprietress very personable, efficient and business like, also she made you feel welcome
The breakfasts were good
No negatives."
"Clarissa, the new manager of the property, made our stay fun and easy! Our room even had its own patio! She sorted out dinner reservations and transportation so that our stay was flawless. Breakfast was delicious (and huge!), served exactly as we asked, enabling us to get on with our day. I highly recommend this property!"

10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic hotel, very welcoming and spotlessly clean.
Friendly staff on arrival.
Room was great, lovely welcoming card in the room.
30 seconds to the town centre.
Only drawback, no onsite restaurant."
"We stayed Saturday to Wednesday, then returned after a stay in Salisbury on Saturday until Monday. Saturday’s in the summer means big parties. It is noisy and the restaurant isn’t available. They do offer dinner in a small room to accommodate those who aren’t part of the party. The room we had the first Saturday was awful, AC didn’t work and no hot water! We asked to be moved, which they were able to do by putting us in a smaller room. The smaller room was very much better. The bed was so luxuriously comfortable. The staff and manager were very friendly and will do whatever they can to make your stay great. The breakfast buffet is good, and they offer a la carte from the menu which I enjoyed omelets most mornings. I would stay here again, but I’d look at the room before settling in. There are wonderful rooms and bad rooms. We were so pleased with the wonderful rooms."
"It is good hotel but a little far from London. Little challenging to navigate the buses and trains to get to London. But the hotel itself was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Except the distance from London, I would recommend it!"
"L like the feel of the hotel. It has a lot of character. It is comfortable and quiet and the staff are friendly. The price is very reasonable. I’ve stayed a few times now and every room is different."
"Nice room , yes I could hear some noise from pub below, during a cup final match, but it was not a problem and did not stop sleeping and watching tv.I will stay again which says it all really ."
