"This was the first time going to Punta Cana and staying at the Excellence El Carmen. The place was beautiful. We had the plunge pool room which was located on the rooftop above the restaurants. The resort is big, but not too big to be able to get around comfortably. They were very cautious to let people in the resort that are not staying, so you always feel safe. We ate at several of the restaurant, but not all of them due the several to pick from and all the food was delicious. Remember, you can always pick several from the appetizers and several entrées so don’t feel like you’re over ordering. The only thing that I can think of is that they need to fix or update the USB ports in the rooms ours did not work but the plugs did. Entertainment was nice, but could have been better, but that is just my opinion."

"lo tome como un family hotel 5 stars pero para mi no cumple en nada el concepto que tengo como family hotel. me cambie por eso ,era un viaje para mis hijos de 3 y cinco años para que tuvieran de todo para ellos en piscinas comidas etc. al final lo logre en otro hotel. para mi nao cumple como para un hotel family.,sigue siendo un hotel normal para cualquiera."

"Anything party related was a good time. Food was good for the most part. Rooms were not in the greatest conditions. Water smelt bad. Water pressure wasn’t the greatest. Rooms stayed at 77 degrees. (Bring a fan) Everyone in the group left sick. Overall we had fun though."

"Everything was great. Very family friendly with plenty of amenities. Raul at family select concierge was helpful at each and every step. He made pur daughter's birthday special by getting a cake and making dinner reservations. He was humble, polite, smiling and welcoming no matter the time of day or night. He was always reachable via WhatsApp. The overall hospitality at this resort was top notch. Ty for memorable vacation!!!"

"Overall the experience was a 4/5 out of 10. When it comes time for them to sell you on their vacation deals of the future it is serious overkill. It starts at front desk when you arrive, then that gets you handed to a sales person, then you get handed off to her sales manager who just absolutely writes down and throws numbers at you so that your head spins while all the while getting you to nod yes getting you to that yes stage which is down payments of thousands of dollars to get "that deal", then if you still say no you get handed off to the final closer who pushes more, then once its still no you go into the room where that guy trys to sell you a lower tier "why not" package, then as you check out you have grooups of sales ladys again selling you on that last tier lower "why not deal" right before you leave. The last lady i literally ran away from as I just spoke to her colleague and literally she decided to have a go as we were walking out the door....too much. You work hard to have these vacations but then to get pressed like what happened was just blood sucking. No thanks will not go back"
